The reason we haven't seen Pleeksty or the First Prophet, in my opinion, is probably because of how the First Prophet was going to return to the surface and cause another great drowning. Maybe Pleeksty is holding him off deep in the layers to prevent this event or imprisoned him or something. Second Prophet is active, as we see chaser who has gained his powers from him. Third Prophet is chilling somewhere too. Fourth Prophet, Regent, was probably commanded by his higher ups to take control of Etrea as a replacement for the King. I hope Deepwoken will live long enough to the point where we surpass Regent's strength and get to go head-to-head with the First Prophet. Since he is strong, maybe during the boss battle he is in his weakened state due to Pleeksty's sacrifice or something. This will truly be a Deepwoken moment.
Or we get the "Set your heart ablaze" thing that makes you shine so much that his shadow get weakened when it gets near you (yeah, crazy theory but would be cool)
I think it could be a boss fight that helps the character surpass the lvl cap. Let me cook, maybe it could be like we fight the first prophet cuz we think we might have a shot and then get reality checked, the fight should be si hard that it’s impossible to win and when we lose we get went to a deep layer, one that we don’t know yet, and there we have to do a quest where we unlock the new lvl cap. I like the idea cuz It means that the character realized that he wasn’t strong after he got bodied so he started getting stronger in a deeper layer. ( you can only fight him once for that quest. In the future however, we could fight him again with a higher lvl cap than the one we had before )
Wasn't the Crypt Blade forged during the Canticlysm? Pretty sure that's what the tooltip says, so that means Shadowcast was discovered before the Canticlysm since the practitioners were proficient enough to figure out how to create a blade that could channel it

i have this idea for how you could become more powerful after level 20, you would have to either become a krulian or a deepwoken or something else equally powerful and in doing so you get a second ENTIRE character tab which you have to level up to 20 again (it wouldn’t give any stats and you keep your original character sheet you just swap between them) just hitting level one of this new sheet of abilities gives you an insane power spike and you wouldn’t be able to be killed by one shot lore characters anymore you would also gain talents that relate to what you accomplished so far, for example: dread-hero, unlocked after beating the dread serpent and it would allow you to lunge when you make a critical strike with your weapon by holding r instead of pressing it, this would change crits completely some of them getting new animations, and if it already lunges it would cause it to throw your opponent skyward after the crit ends like an uppercut causing you to leap after them for more follow up moves, they could still obviously parry you to put you both back down though
I like this concept as it makes sense but would it be possible for normal humans to gain that strength without becoming a deepwoken or a krulian? Because if so it would be so badass, we beat powerful entities through sheer hardwork and determination.

So that could somewhat make things easier for us. You know, I'm wondering if a Lightborn could be a Deepwoken.
i sort of assumed that the first prophet would be a user of water magic, seeing as he is inhuman and makes shady deals with the depths. it would also explain if he was responsible for the drowning of celtor by using water magic to drown the city and its inhabitants.

My guess on what powers he has is hydromancy, aka he controls water. This sounds silly at first, but people who control water have lost their humanity, just like the First Prophet, so to me, it fits him.
I recon the first prophet will never meet the player, and hes somewhere deeper than the third layer. Perhaps being a deepwoken allowed him to go further than the third layer, and it would make sense as its unlikely the ministry have a permanent residence on the surface of lumen, plus the ministry being a depths-orientated faction
I think the 1st prophet would be a boss in a certain layer like an obstacle before we become a deepwoken like the last stand trying to stop us but when we stop him and kill him perhaps or seal him we awaken a drowned god and strike a deal ith him (most likely yunshun since he grants wishes unlike the rest)

Comeptely unrelated but are the drowned gods similar to the great ones from bloodborne? Deepwoken takes a lot of inspiration from bloodborne and the great ones and drowned gods have a few similarities.
I think an effective way to beat first prophet is to have evergarde and pleeksty jump him and maybe your character can use some sort of light magic artifact to weakened him so that he can be defeated
My theory about how the first prophet is going to be revealed is that it's alongside a layer 10 update based on exploring ancient lands that were thought to be consumed by the void fog that gives us the ability to get a lightkeeper attunement and a unattunement path based on utilizing ones soul to use divine magic at the cost of health with weapons based on the mage and cleric archetypes. Imagine the update being community-focused that rewards teamwork and helping new players, where new lightkeepers who give their lives to power an ancient lighthouse that disperses the fog and players that always got wiped after being so close to beating the boss get their character immortalized as randomly generated NPCs in a extremely long hallway to the first prophet with stronger groups having more and more casualties the further you go. It starts off with one rookie team telling you to go back after a mass raid gone horribly wrong and as you go further ahead, you see living and injured NPCs with player names, the guilds that they're apart of, and the oaths that each one took recounting the attacks the first prophet used before going deeper and seeing bell users dead or heavily wounded saying how they thought it would be like fighting the ferryman or how they should have stayed calm. By the time you reach the end the last NPC is the player who had beat the first prophet but missing their limbs save for their one arm and leg, stating that it shouldn't be possible to come back like nothing happened after being killed in the depths and when you ask again, you get text stating that they already passed away. It would be a great way to give back to the community.

2 years and we kniw maybe 10% of the lore of the game at best so at this rate it would take 20 years for it to all be released. not to mention 90% of the lore is in the discord not the gane. what a disappointment of a game deepwoken was. rip to the dream of drowned gods and welcome to the new battleground game deepwoken. the sequel to their previous battleground game, rogue lineage. monad studios needs to stop pretending they can do lore in their games and just focus on ehat they're good at which is combat games.

I'm so tired of the mods characters being like an 8 year old's oc. It's so stupid and doesn't fit with the lore at all. You can't just say "oh, well my charcater can uhmhe's immortal and the child of a god and um and um he can sink entire islands!!!!!". Not getting at Deepwoken Lore God, but christ, I hate the mods' charcaters.
