My favorite thing about Dude is how, even at his level of experience, he can still allow himself to play a silly mode, have fun with it, and laugh about it. The guy just doesn't hate much and it's refreshing.

I hesitate to mention overwatch, but one thing they do well is custom rules private lobbies. Would be nice to have some fun rulesets for splatoon private battles
Even though i was not playing this event well at all, the first few matches i had the fattest grin on my face and just laughing at how trizookas there were.
I just realized that this might be the closest we get to the very first Splatoon test-play where the only weapon available was the splattershot with splat bomb and inkzooka
When I played, the lobby was playing exclusively Splatoon 1 music, and it seemed like the vast majority of my matches were the Orange and Blue ink colors, like, it was weirdly consistent how often I got those colors in a row, that it almost made me think the whole event was supposed to be a subtle Splatoon 1 reference, what with that, the Splattershot kits and Zookas being directly Splatoon 1-derived, and Museum being in rotation. It's most likely just a big coincidence lol, considering how I did occasionally get a different color scheme, but while I was playing and kept getting Orange and Blue match after match the idea that that was intentional was something I couldn't help but wonder for a bit.
I am 1 of those 10 people who used Tenta Sorella Brella during this challange. After playing this challenge, I think I will use this particular Brella in Tower Control more often.
I never thought I'd say this, but I think Clash was actually the best weapon for this mode. With just how many Zookas there were, the power of your main weapon didn't matter all that much. Meanwhile, Clash has the best sub of all the Zooka weapons, and Splat Bomb is particular strong against people with Zooka mobility
It’s a shame that I missed the Too Many Trizookas challenge, but it looks like a whole LOT of fun from as far as I’ve seen! It gives me hope for more challenges involving around the other specials, like Wave Breaker Breakout, Unleash the Kraken, or even a challenge where everyone uses Zipcaster!
This challenge was really fun for the little amount of time I did get to play it, I really hope they do what they did with Salmon Run and make them playable at all times in the future
I practiced the tenta brella about an hour before it began so I could be different cause I knew everyone would use splattershot. Ended up working really well and I ended the 2 hour period with a score of 2004!

i got like half an hour to play this challenge because i just barely got out of school in time for it and it was some of the most fun ive had on splatoon, god bless the rerun for letting me have more fun with it 😭

You're right dude, there is more than 1 trizooka weapon. There's 5 lol. Also I think tenta brella is probably the main weapon that pairs best with trizooka. Except in this mode, where the tent shield also gets shredded by trizooka
Watching you go nuts with the clash is some of the most fun I've seen in a while XD I stuck with the Carbon Roller and had a blast because I felt like James Bond dodging rocket launchers on my way to assassinate some squid. The chaos made it easy to sneak up on people. I hope they do more challenges like this that encourages people to learn the specials and use different weapons. And it's great for getting badges. I want to see a challenge with only one weapon class. I wonder which one would be most sadistic. Maybe Splatlings.
Honestly, this was like the most fun I've had in Splatoon in a LONG time, it was SO MUCH fun. The fun for me was probably partially inflated due to me pretty much just playing Turf War instead of Ranked these past few months (to level up the catalog faster since I don't often have much time to do anything else in the game) so playing Tower Control was refreshing, but even then the challenge mode itself is just so fun and chaotic. I did manage to find a cheese strategy when starting a match on Museum that consistently resulted in my team winning every single time I did it (not gonna reveal it lol, though it's not that complicated, just maybe not something you'd typically think to start the game with), so at a certain point wins started just being borderline guaranteed unless Humpback was selected instead, though I doubt it would work at higher skill levels.
I thought for sure that we’d be using the Trizooka ALL THE TIME at first.😂 Good thing that’s not the case and it just charges faster. It’s already too chaotic as it is. Also, I suck at using the Trizooka, so if I had to use it only, it would be a disaster. LOL
I'm a splatling main normally so I was WAY out of my element with basically all front line weapons, but I had a BLAST just sneaking up to strategic places with my sneaky swim gear, and just hiding until someone jumped to zooka people, and I'd shoot them in the back. It was glorious. Less kills overall, less zooka triggering than everyone, but boy I was a pain in their backsides, literally, and we started winning more often.
I have a feeling challenges are gonna be used to test how the community uses weapons to get more data for balancing later. Essentially, a community wide playtest
I actually think Clash Blaster is one of the best options here since Splat Bomb is the best sub to run here and catch Trizookas off-guard. Suction Bomb is too slow and Splash Wall without gear sub abilities dies to Trizooka too fast. Also the main shoots around corners better imo
The problem is that clash main weapon is just terrible. Suction is fine and hsving a real main weapon is still imortant, plus the lack of range and paint really hurts here
looks like it was a lot of fun. i unfortunately completely missed out on it :( they really should make this like a full 24 hour thing at least. im so tired of all the limited time only events
This was the first time I’ve ever played Tower Control. I’ve played with the Carbon Roller Deco, had to buy it specifically because I had never use the hero shot and Splattershot before and I’m good with rollers. Never tried the Trizooka special either though, so I pretty much had to learn how to play a new weapon and a new special at the same time. It was fun though, I got three weapon with one shot in one of my last matches, could save it unfortunately because I reached my Switch’s video limit again.
Im absolutely trash at too many trizookas bc im trash at trizooka. I cant wait for zip to it zipcaster bc i main 2 weapons that use zipcaster lol. Light tetras and splatana stamper
People were probably using splattershot over squeezer and the like because splash wall doesn't stop trizooka very well. You get to throw a ton of suction bombs because your ink tank fills. I started the event on sorella tent and it just wasn't able to compare to splattershots.
Sadly didn't get to play this at all with the tiny windows to play but it looked a lot of fun. Really hope they change the length these are avaliable so it's more easily accessible
Some of the most fun I’ve had playing splatoon ever. As someone who already somewhat knew how to use zooka before this, having the silver badge, it felt so fun curbstomping the completion and getting my gold challenge badge 🤣

The amount of times my Tenta Shield protected me from a Trizooka shot was so high. I loved that weapon now!
The one issue with this mode is that Trizooka ignores spawn armor, so it makes it very easy to be spawn camped.

4:14 to be fair splattershot is the only trizooka weapon that anyone can pick up that doesn’t suck

I think the tenta brella is a good pick for this mode because you can actually block one trizooka shot with your sheild

I played this as a carbon roller. Burst bombs worked well for comboing with the AoE damage of the zooka shots.
Too many Zookas felt like too many splattershots instead.
Missed this cuz of work, but it looks so fun!

Tried it for an Hour and it was Fun but very chaotic. Used my Zooka 18x in one Match :D Clash Blaster was the most Fun Weapon to use.
