Hi Brock. This is strange. Apparently I wasn’t subbed anymore. I haven’t checked in, in over 3 years. Holy moly… a lot has happened. I remember Toupac died, which was a painful experience as a follower, but after that I didn’t get any notifications. Nothing. I just want you to know, I have never forgotten Ripley, Maeve or Toupac, but I sure did mourn for you. The other day, one of your shorts popped up in my feed, and I decided to revisit your page... you have no idea how happy I am for you. You deserve all the happiness and joy in the world. Losing a beloved family member is the hardest thing anyone has to endure, and so deciding to take in and rehabilitate birds with the knowledge that the worst might come sooner than later, is the single most selfless, brave thing anyone who truly loves their animals can do. I seriously think about fostering or adopting senior dogs, but I truly don't know if I'm strong enough to do it, to go through that pain over and over, but I have so much respect for the people that do... I seriously look up to them and consider them actual saints. Actual angels on earth. And you're one of them. Thank you for everything that you do for these beautiful, funny, unique, gorgeous, smart, loving birds. And thank you for documenting all of it on this page- if you hadn't, I never would have learned about them, and never would have known the joy they bring into the world.

I cried when I saw him in his little towel and had to explain all the emotions to my bf about missing toupac, being happy for brock, and just feeling emotional about the new toucan's condition. He's just a little guy. 🥹

It’s so hard to lose a beloved person whether human or other animal. It doesn’t matter how long that person has been with you. We had to euthanize our beloved amazing 9 year old Boxer early this year and still can’t talk about it without crying. Years ago we rescued a sweet little Bassett who developed leukemia shortly after we rescued her. She had all kinds of health issues and was so patient and sweet about her treatments for those issues. We released her from her suffering…with her other issues to have put her through chemo would have been cruel. We still miss her. I believe grief is another side of love.

Tupac just about ruined the channel for me. He was such a sweetie, and once he was gone it just wasnt the same. There will never be another Tupac, but maybe your new addition will help fill the hole he left, in their own way. Anyway, its always nice to see these special birds get such a loving home in yours. I've definitely considered it strongly. they were my first ever bird videos. I always had an interest in both birds and filming and it's obvious I tried to combine them very early. I shot a parody disaster video I called "budgiezilla" as well as a wedding video I did marrying my budgies in a tent and many others. very endearing in hindsight
I've only know you from the videos of Toupac, Maeve and Beatrix. Since then I started liking toucans (and also ofc Lovebirds, whom I used to have a pet, one passed away from illness (he was just one year old), and the new lovie I got literally a week after the passing of the previous lovebird, she died unexpectedly in March last year (she was hatched in Nov 2022) in her sleep, so I only had her brother (also hatched in Nov 2022), but I moved in Oct 2023 to a appartement complex where they don't allow pets unfortunately, so I moved him to a beautiful home of people that I've known for years and they had a large aviary with a lots of lovebirds, only to get a message back in March this year that he has passed away, the cause suspected to be that here in NL January was a very cold month (up until -10C) and freezing (to a point even the sidewalks and roads were too slippery to go outside without falling), and he was used to be being inside 9 out of 10 times, and only during the warm summer days he was outside. But that doesn't stop me from loving parrots and toucans. Keep it up!
