Gabi is as nice as she is strong. Met her at OSG and she amazed me, for someone I had not seen compete before. And that smile! Glad to see the women getting recognized. All of these women are incredible! More of this please!

I was there last night to see this and it was truly impressive to watch. Well done to all the ladies that competed, get these ladies at giants events more often.
If it wasn't crazy enough, the fact that the for the women it was the first time doing a hercules hold is just insane. We expect Felix to do what he does but Gabi and Rebecca owned this event.

I imagine there are a fair few strongman competitors hastily working on their grip strength now, I am amazed the only one she didn't beat was Felix. Incredible physical and mental strength on display.

Kevin Faires set two grip world records at Rogue Invitational some weeks ago, but Gabi beat him at this! This is ABSOLUTELY INSANE!
So, just the analysis of a simple viewer. Looking closer at the technique that she was using, unlike other Herc holds that i could find on youtube (i.e. eddie hall, hafthor, mark felix), this strongwoman was actually lower than the angle of the chain handles. Most of the men i saw were either level, or taller. This applied a different kind of pressure (more towards the palm and less on the fingers). Additionally, she was half-squatting allowing her legs to play a huge part in providing her upper body better balance and utilize more core strength. In a simple comparison, someone lowering their center of gravity to pull an object, so long as their weight allows it, will find it easier than someone who is standing upright. While i believe this is well within the rules of the competition i wonder the differences it would have made should all the other athletes have tried the same technique.
The female pain threshold is amazing and I know that’s the thing that helped her push through. Imagine pushing a baby. You go queen.
