Yup, you just want the pain to go away. There's an old movie from the 40s or 50s called 'I wanna Live'. The movie is based on real life events about a woman that was executed for murder which most people believe she didn't do. Her friends kinda hung her out to dry. Anyway, that line is famous from this movie. I don't want to die, I don't want to live, I just want the pain to go away.
Being a recovering addict with mental illness this song makes me cry, I feel like they looked into my soul and made this song.

I love how they used Zendaya for the last part of the song. It just fits with the story so well because in the beginning she wanted to give up, and her singing she wants to keep fighting and trying is just so beautiful and hopeful. We need more hope in the world, especially now.

The last line gets me everytime "Hey Lord, I'm on my way" because depending on what you take from the song it could either mean that they're on the way to breaking out of that cycle they have found themselves in or that they've given up and they're on their way out.

I think this song perfectly captures an aspect of what it is like to be suicidal. One that many people can't bring to understand. Which is that these people really try their best to win their battles. And when all proves futile literally say, I'm tired. I've been trying. I like that this song recognizes that. Most people think it's that they've given up when in reality they just don't have anything left to give

I have been for a while. I've been suicidal for almost two years now. It's difficult. And so I just want to tell you to be kind to yourself. Do not put too much pressure on yourself. People don't realize the struggle of even leaving your bed in the morning. Or how merely drawing breath feels like a war. So take life day at a time. Do your best and appreciate yourself for even the tiniest bit of progress you make. It could even be as simple as laughing or affording to smile. Most importantly, sit with the negative emotions. Feel them. Don't drink, sleep, eat, exercise them away. FEEL. It's the best and fastest way to healing. All the best on this journey. Know that you aren't alone ❤️

I haven't watched Euphoria yet I'm here because of a TikTok video. I heard this song and came to look for the full version on TH-cam. I understand and feel each lyric because I've been severely sad for many years. I have mild depression according to my therapist but I just need talk therapy. It's helped and I'm slightly better now. Please hold on. It'll be better one day, one time.

When this song was originally briefly released, it was beautiful and so painfully sad and heart breaking. With the re release and the extra verse that zendaya sings, it just elevates it to a new level and brings a new found hope to the song. Such a beautiful way to end an amazing season. Between depression, parental loss, friend drama all throughout my 20’s- Euphoria was this unique, poignant, thrilling piece of art that came into my life Feb 2022 and smacked me in the face and made me re-evaluate all my trauma. I’m both sad and a little relieved it’s over for now, but also ever moved and changed from it. Labyrinth’s music is haunting and beyond powerful.

My mom died of fentanyl overdose around the time I started watching this show. When this song played in particular, I felt like I knew everything she had ever felt in her 10 years of drug addiction. Where I once hated her and what her addiction had done to ME, I finally acknowledged what her addiction did to HER and my heart broke in a million pieces. She never had the chance to get clean when I know that's all she ever wanted.

I don't agree. Finding comfort in someone high above, caring for you, doesn't happen to everyone. What about people with trauma caused by religion? The people religion tells you are sinners? My mental health is deeply impacted by all I've been taught as a kid. I feel worthless, because of religion. I feel like I'm not supposed to exist. I feel wrong. If I had the guts I'd not stand here today. All because my parents ended up basically telling me, every fiber of my being is to be wiped away. My mental disorder, my mental illness, my sexuality, is to be wiped away very soon. I don't know who I'd be without my mind as it is. My personality is a mix of all my experiences and how my brain works due to my disorder. I don't want to be me, but having a mighty being wipe it all away would be like truly admitting that I'm not good the way I am. I might be struck down in the end of this world, by God himself, is what I've been told. Even if it's not God himself who let it be written in the translations of the bible, even if he didn't cause the hatred towards my kind, why would he let it be for so long? He's betrayed us. Others have put their trust in him and have been killed anyway. There is no hope for me. If this is how it's always been, then he'll only view me as a sinner. I don't expect mercy, if he even does exist.

Just know God is always waiting for you. God said to come as you are- you could be a murderer, a rapist it doesn't matter, God will always accept you as long as you ask him to. He has never betrayed you. He sees what you've been through but you cannot receive help without asking. Ask him to work on you and to heal the trauma you have. God bless

As a believer when I first started praying it felt like I was talking to myself but I reminded myself to just have faith in God and be patient. Also faith without works is dead. This means you yourself have to work for what you want. So maybe going to therapy or venting or finding a healthy way to cope will aid along your healing. God can do anything and you can do anything through him. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and to change and heal you. Again I'm sorry for the trauma you've been caused. Just know these people typically aren't good representatives of God. We are supposed to love you as we love ourselves, it's wrong for them to say things like that to you about your sexuality. My mom died Feb 20th 2020. At 19 I was in a downward spiral of alcoholism, sitting on my bed at 22 a few months back I was drunk out of my mind and listening to music. This song came on and I bawled, I had been so tired for so long and didn’t know. The alcohol was masking it but this song let out all my emotions that I had bottled up since my mother died. I have since been 2 months sober and have rekindled my relationship with God. 2:19 are the lyrics that stood out to me the most because I would ask myself this constantly and the answer is yes. Broken, fragile, depressed, anxious etc is it enough for God. He takes you as you are, he heals you and comforts you in your times of need, he stops raging storms from passing over you. Seek him in your time of need and your prayers will never go unanswered. Bless all those who are going through tough times right now. 💜

Dealing with health issues since birth, heart surgery every year since 10years old, multiple heart attacks I almost didn’t come back from, I get worse and I tell the Lord I’m tired. I’m tired so tired. Fighting for my life every day, now needing a transplant, I’ve done everything I can to try to be healthy and it’s not working. Lord I’m tired 🥺

I’m mentally drained but I have to keep pushing nd going for my goals in life alone for those I love but most importantly ME. The one person I never cared about🤏🏾. Stay strong and if your going through something I have a helpful tip I use… cry for 5 minutes nd then stop yourself. You have 5 mins to cry your ass off,scream, yell, “fall apart”, nd then you pick yourself back up cuz I’ve learned people will notice when your down nd put nd stomp a horse while it’s already down. Love y’all out there who don’t get it. And love yourself please. If not for yourself for your life because it matters. I just wanted someone to care… so I care.👋🏽

The scene of Zendeya in church and the comfort of the hug was a beautiful picture of what happens when we come to God. I remember listening to this when I was suicidal in middle school, I’m in high school now and things have gotten better but I’m still healing. I hope that everyone who is going through anything gets better and each day at a time❤

I haven’t seen Euphoria yet.. but the lyrics to this song hit home for me. My 10th time re watching the video and I get chills and start crying every time.
I'm 46 yrs old and to me this show is so nostalgically made. It reminds me of early indie films like "Foxes" and Brian De palmas "Carrie". It's a creative masterpiece. And the soundtrack is the best I've heard since the soundtrack from "Drive". Incredible.

This song means so much too me, I’ve dealt with a drug addiction for the last 3 years or so, and i relapsed at new years after being clean for 7 months. I was actively using without telling anyone for the past few months. Tomorrow ill be sober for a whole week, which is the longest I’ve been in a while. The lyrics are just written so beautifully and i just have a feeling the song understands me and my problems.
For anyone that’s struggling too, just know that it’ll be alright and that it’s fine to take a minute to breathe sometimes❤️

Zendaya became the youngest two-time acting Emmy winner last year as well as being in Time's top 100 most influential people in the world. Besides acting, she does music [example above] but also modelling and designed her own clothing line.. She was/is an ambassador for multiple brands as well as charities ohhh and advocates for Woman rights. So yeah...
