Ppl were complaining the track was too hooked up because they had watered it a lot for the wind earlier in the day, so I think they put out more cars to dry and work in the track more to see if it rubber down. I was there in person though still was a great race and some good racing and they went 31 laps without a caution no less so great driving by everyone.
@@stownballer15 yep exactly. they messed the track prep up, which this promoter is known for doing. he seems to get scared and over water whenever the national series come to town.
To bad Zeb Wise didn't let off a little and stay in the 2nd or 3rd spot. Zeb needs to realize there are slow cars in the front of the lead pack. The 17th did not have anywhere to go because there were slow cars in the front of him.
The 17au slid up in turn 2 and either didn't hit the gas (as Zeb said in the crash interview) or the motor stumbled. I don't blame Zeb at all for that, he turned down to miss the 17au but didn't expect that car to slow down. This was just an unfortunate racing incident unless the 17au did actually lift. On the previous lap it looked like the 17au was having issues and as they mentioned in the post race interview, the Australian drivers aren't use to racing on small tracks like Placerville.
Loved the racing and thought it was a great event, this track never gets old
Im surprised they started 25 cars for this main. Seems crowded out there. I think even knoxville nationals started less cars and its a 1/2 mile.
