A level of craftsmanship I could only dream of. Back in the 1980s-90s I was doing restorations, built an English wheel, metal break etc, had dreams of progressing towards this sort of thing, life got in the way. Just one quibble, I would've used oval head slotted sheetmetal screws instead of pop rivets, would've installed them properly clocked of course. A little padding under the leather wouldn't have been a bad thing either.
Please keep up the fab vids! Upholstery, metal shaping, welding, design, etc ... Please keep this info flowing for future generations! Love your hands on vids!

Thanks so much for the support. Will do my best to keep them coming 👍🏻
Holy Crap Chris! This is both Amazing AND Insane 😂 Not just a custom built car but honestly a work of art. I'll bet you have the aluminum polishing down to a science now 👍🏻 Wonderful content though, really ♥
Came here immediately after watching an entire episode featuring master upholsterer Craig at Tyrrell's Classic cars. Never tire of watching highly skilled artisanship. Front indicator bulbs looks awfully vulnerable on the RS014. Guessing Chris plans to enclose headlight cavity a la first gen E-Type.
It's crazy that this channel doesn't have more subscribers . I do recommend Davide Cironi Drive Experience and Marks Italian garage. I'm sure you follow Harry .

Will be thermoforming the headlight lenses In an upcoming vid!
Very nice!!! As always enjoying the series. I have been messing about with an English wheel (Harbor Freight cheepy) for a little while now. I decided to start tackling the rear inner wheel wells on my Volksrod. I still have a long road ahead of me. LOL I greatly appreciate the amount of work and skill that goes into making your cars, and also appreciate you sharing your story with us. See you next time!!!
Hi Chris, could you please divulge your source for your push button and toggle switches please. I’ve been looking to source some decent quality ones for my own build. Magnificent work, as usual, matches your fabrication skills 😊
In order to street drive your cars are they titled as old cars or new? Just curious about how that works on new build without modern stuff like bumpers and air bags. Beautiful work, I enjoy watching so much!
Hi Chris, love to know where you get your dash switches from, we are building a 1930’s Brooklands style racer in Australia and struggling to find good switches.
I agree with all the superlatives others have mentioned. But please work on your video production, especially sound levels. Sometimes I can barely hear you (I wear headphones) and have to turn up the volume, then it blasts the volume so loud it hurts, especially when doing metalwork. Thanks 🦻
wow man. that's a work of art. do you know the climber magnus mitbo? from norway. he's a big youtuber. his climbing company's name is runge as well. maybe one day you can take him for a ride in one of your cars! www.youtube.com/@magmidt

Thanks for producing these videos. Those switches have a very solid THUNK to them 👌

General fabrication, and specified skill sets are a lost art, and you nail it!
Hey, I saw one of your cars recently, on Cars on 5th, in Naples Florida! Looking good!!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! The RÜNGE R2 lives in Naples with Jim the owner. He loves to share the car so next time you see it, ask for him!
@ will do, thanks 😊
It is always fun watching your progress on these amazing hand built cars.

Contact cement is one of those materials you can have a love/hate relationship with. When it goes right there is nothing better, but...

Why do you use k-grip vs dap weldwood landau top and trim? Have you noticed any advantage to the k-grip?
I have DAP here as well and do use it for certain things. The K Grip seems to work really well bonding the leather straight to aluminum surfaces…
What glue do u use?
Most German cars in the world are made in the Midwest!
Where?
Jay sent me.
