Yeah I know exactly how you feel. When I had my last seizure my head hurt so bad . And I don't buy the idea of having the EEG done if I might have a seizure during the test
5 months ago, I was the second person at my hospital to receive an internal EEG. 9 days of it was spent with my EEG monitor and away from a good section of my skull. This experience was very educational and eye opening. Although I did not have a seizure during my 9 days of monitoring, I overall had a great and uneventful experience with my teams of doctors and nurses!
I have daughters she is4 month old according to Dr she need to do EEG because when she was born she didn’t cry so she was stay in NICU for treatment, 9 days so I want to know about EEG advantages and disadvantages
I am getting this even tho I have never had a seizure.. just dissociation. I don't understand why I need to wear this for three days. I have to work and go to a show. Just very confused. :((

I'm having one done for a few days. I'm kinda a little scared. I wanted my dad or stepdad to take me so we could play board games or puzzles. But sadly my stepdad couldn't go and my dad can't because of work. So I'm going with my mom. Not horrible but would've rather had my dad or stepdad
I had this first time at Sherman Tx Hostipal with Seziures man fastes light Strobe was last makes my eyes water One Nurse tried to force me to have one once
@@fann.9874 it was alright, had to stay in bed all day and the wires would come off here and there and I would have to urinate in a bottle but they did find something in my right frontal lobe
@@fann.9874 before you did the test…were there any doubts that it was actually seizures you were experiencing? Like did anyone say that it may be pseudo seizures?
I’m going for one in November I’ve had epilepsy since I was born and when I have to get one I’m always so nervous my heart is pounding like crazy it really does hurt when the light gets flashed in your eyes adding to the nerves it keeps going faster and faster I just wish there was a better way to scan the brain 😣
I just took my EEG. In all my years, they didn’t give me the light to my eyes this time around. Why ?? And it was less than 40 minutes. Are they doing their job right or is it just me?
@@volodymyrkim5846 he said during the video if you have one during the test they will go to the nurse and im guessing stop the eeg and have a way to calm you down
My son has to have this done on August 1st. Feeling anxious about it and hoping he will do ok because he has severe Autism and gets very upset in new settings.
@@steveortega534 He has done it twice. Last time the person who put it on him sent us home with the machine now working while knowing it wasn't. Super annoying! But dont you worry. Your son will be just find. Its just going to be a bit uncomfortable for him so just keep an eye
My dad had to just do a 5 day one because he hasn't been diagnosed yet and he only had two seizures. I think that's where I got my Epilepsy from, his side of the family. I've been diagnosed for about 6 years now
IKR! They literally put tape after putting all of that as well. After wrapping your head with all of that they start to put tape on it. I literally felt like the back of my head was going to explode.
I’m so glad for you. I’m 71 years of age and I’m a retired END Technologist. That’s “ElectroNeuroDiagnostics Technologist”, so EEG’s are one of the tests we do. I think it’s wise to know that a normal EEG is great, and it suggests that whomever owns that brain does not appear to be at risk for seizures, but it does NOT prove that.
I'm sorry, but someone will need to explain to me the logic of including seizure-inducing flashing lights in a video that you know is primarily going to be watched by people who have or could have epilepsy. So irresponsible!
You know what’d be super neat? If someone in the comments section said they actually had the procedure, the doctor changed meds (not some herbal hocus pocus spamming), and you saw improvement. 🤷🏿🙄

I had to take EEG video Test. Man having wires stuck in my hair 5 days straight
My dad had to just do a 5 day one because he hasn't been diagnosed yet and he only had two seizures. I think that's where I got my Epilepsy from, his side of the family. I've been diagnosed for about 6 years now

This was traumatizing... I do not trust doctors anymore.. they don't know the consequences. I felt like a test subject.
What consequence are you thinking about there?
