there’s something melodically “off” about this version but I’m addicted to it. Because all around me, THERE WAS A FORCEFIELD DESIGNED TO KEEP OUT GRIEF
Found this through work, fucking fantastic. Like even though I just discovered this tonight, this feels hella nostalgic. I relistened to it 30 times already!
dude it actually pisses me off that this song never blew up and graham didnt get wider recognition for being one of the greatest songwriters ever. it seems to bother me more than it does him check out his other stuff if you like this song. his discog is filled with brilliant stuff
you are very kind, and it means a ton to me that you are out there fighting the good fight. i like that you mention "all time;" modern commercial pop songwriting is MAYBE ~80 years old, i've been at it for 29 of them. the only test is time itself, and i'm in it for the long haul. if i got angry about it, i would write even MORE songs about whatever grievances i carry. also, this song kinda did blow up because the video is so great. i bet you this video introduced my tunes to thousands of folks. my thanks and humble gratitude to all who spread the word! 🎉😅😊
The video threw me off at first, cause I couldn't separate the song from it, but I'm listening to the song without the video and it's actually much better that way. Just my 2 cents
I watch this all the time. Been like 12 years.

whoops i think you said "all time" on the other one, and "ever" is mostly the same thing.
