hello sir.. I have a small doubt.. why you are not using NC switch for stop push button ??? actually that stop push button is NC type only nah.. then why are you using NO contact in ladder logic programming ??
don't confuse the NO and NC in the plc program and the physical wiring of the switch. The stop is physically wired as a NC switch, which means that at rest, voltage is being applied to the input terminal. The NO contact in Siemens is also called examine if closed in Allen Bradley. It looks for voltage applied to the input terminal or a 1 in the memory. Therefore we have to use the NO contact for both the Stop PB and the Start PB.

At 12:05 when you hit the "start pb" why doesn't right hand side of the PLC logic for the "start pb" turn green for the first rung?
It does for a brief instant, but it doesn't register on the screen as I momentarily pressed the button.
