I feel a bit embarrased listening/watching this; I feel like she is showing us something very intimate, something that no one else should really experience. Thanks, Emma.

I always return to this song and every time I say to myself "Where have you gone?" Because every time I come back I have lost a part of myself and I feel sad, more than the last time, but Emma makes me feel like I haven't lost anything for at least five minutes, I will listen to this song forever, so thank you Emma.

Music and life can be so much more than crying assisted by a boring piano play. Hope, the rest of the band will end their holidays soon to help her ending her wandering.
Expected an envolvement of On Dark Horses and Marked For Death. For me, this is the opposite of style development and far more disappointing than I could imagine.
What an interesting emotion this video/song created for me. It felt like somebody who was so deep in a hole of longing for somebody or something, that she was almost becoming manic. The way her voice subtly cracks, it's somebody who is so sad or far removed from joy that they're about to break straight into an artificial euphoria. Like a dopamine depletion rebounding suddenly
emma has all the tools and the experience and it looks like she's going to reinvent herself on this next lp and i'm personally just looking forward to see her music be even more emotional and experimental🖤
It’s chilling when something resonates so deeply. let’s me know I’m not struggling alone. I want to buy everything she produces to help support real art.
This is the second time this year an artist made me cry. First Lingua Ignota and now Emma. This hasn't happened to me in over 10 years. Magnificent! Thank you Sargent House for signing these brilliant artists
I’ve revisited this song after transmuting much of my pain. It feels like I’m a child smiling in the face of death or shadow. I’m understanding it’s a part of me.
Can't stop listening to this...wonderful.. goosebumps appeared every single time. Life is amazing when we have true artists like Emma...and this beautiful video, hypnotizing, atmospheric, melancholic ...have no words , it fits the song perfectly (I hope Emma will have similar high quality visual representation for the next single too as deserved).
emma is such a talented artist so i knew this would be great before i even saw it, but i was not emotionally ready for the boys for pele realness that i am being served today. absolutely devastating in the best possible way.
@@sreb5048 yeah! emma always gave me tori vibes, and then i read an interview with her (can't remember where) where she called herself a tori fan and expressed love for boys for pele specifically. everything suddenly made sense.
This is an absolute minimalstic masterpiece. There is no way you can express more with less post-production and dubbing. This is just a perfect sample of raw and pure art like the entire album is. ERR is bringing it to the point like only a true artist would be able to. 5 star record, longing to see her live.
I love this stripped down sound. The restraint in Emma’s voice gives it more power than when she lets rip in some of her older work. The video is beautiful, but it’s slightly jarring as it feels like a separate skin or overlay on top of the music. I guess that might be the point. Spending time with ERR’s confessional art is not intended to be a comfortable experience. Edit: The more I watch the video, the more it makes sense as a piece of poetry and it’s the saddest, most beautiful and remarkable song she has ever recorded. I want to cry every time I hear it, for her, for me and everyone. I can’t wait for the album.
This gives me the same feeling I had while watching the ending of "Six Feet Under" with Sia's "Breathe Me": sadness and longing but also a sense of beauty and hope for the future. While Sia's song is beautiful, I also think this might be better.
I just came across Emma's entrancing compositions last year and she has been my go-to artist ever since. Her music transports and has certainly provided me with comfort and inspiration during this very trying and dark year. She's darkness but sings of the light. A true magician.
Please tell me that the "Orpheus" and "Testament of Orpheus" (Jean Cocteau) references in this video are on purpose and not just my imagination. My favorite musician of all time knows and references my favorite films, that would be the greatest thing ever 🖤
I love her music so much. So many bands/artists out there I want to see succeed and she's at the top of the list. Want to see you thrive my precious flower.
She's brilliant. I want to sit and have a cup of tea with her...and cry. The raw emotion in her voice soothes me and stirs me up...makes me want to press record and sing out my feelings too. I love this woman. We're lucky she shares herself with us.
I've been a fan of hers when I first saw her opening for Buzz Osbourne's acoustic solo tour back in 2014 in East Atlanta Village. still loving her music ever since.
I am transfixed by this song. The honesty, the humbleness the vulnerability. So much more powerful than the heavier stuff written in the past. Love it. A true piece of art. Can’t wait to hear the rest of the album. X

The vocals are so heavy. So soft and haunting. E.R.R is a precious thing forever. It’s real baby.
The art Emma has been releasing lately is both the darkest and most beautiful art I have ever witnessed. Her pain is visceral, almost unbearably so

I agree. It’s parallel to a very dark time in my own life and gives my own pain a voice. Very surreal.
