That’s a fabulous installation!
Clever mod to post so you could mount the light. I like the normal dim light as we try to keep lights either very dim or aimed 100% to the ground as part of the "dark sky" initiative out in the country. Thank you for the good review.

Nice fixture. Do the instructions mention recommended mounting height above grade for this fixture? It seems like it is mounted too low to grade. A higher mounting height will give you a wider light distribution but will reduce light levels a tad.
Yeah it’s recommended to hang it around 15’-20’ high. The one on my barn spreads out more because it’s higher up.

Why does the thumb nail make it so much brighter looking?
iPhone video is always darker than real life unfortunately. That’s what I used to film. :-/

We recently put up a couple of WYWNA 1200 watt lights, they work great after sunny days, but are almost non-functional after dark cloudy days, especially during with the days becoming shorter this time of year.
Have you had the same experience?
Interesting. No ours works great. I do live in northern Florida so our days don’t get quite as short as the northern US so that might have something to do with it. Ours will last all night no problem even on cloudy days.

In 100% setting can it stay all night till dawn? Or do you need to adjust the brightness just to make it work from dusk to dawn?
I keep it set on 100% and it lasts all night. I think once the battery gets to a certain point it will go into low power mode where it is dimmer, and then will brighten with motion.

Yes, it is still working perfectly! I’m planning to do another video update shortly. I’ve been impressed with how well it has held up in our Florida heat.
I would put bird spikes keep them off.

I run out on 100% and it’s lasts all night.
Can it be put on 50% and stay on all night? How long does the charge last for 50%?
Oh for sure. Once I put it in full sun it lasts all night. Even on 100%
Is there an option where I can hardwire it?
This particular light is solar only. It’s a self contained unit.
That’s why iwhen I buy something now I don’t leave reviews because only people have to leave a review when they get the item for free if they want me to leave a review they have to pay me if they want a review because I see this over and over again to get the items free they have to do is leave a review
We purchased 3. They are not detecting motion without standing directly under it. Stays on between 2-6 seconds. Company made us do a reset of 48 hrs and then send a video of what it’s “not doing”. We are getting the run around. Very disappointed in our purchase of 3 lights
Man I’m sorry to hear that. Are all 3 doing the same thing? I have ours set on dusk to dawn and never used the motion feature except to test.
