The red dotted line is called a guide : You can see these under View tab - (check the box against Guides to make them visible) If 1) you right click on a slide - You will see 'Grid and Guides' -(Choose any one ) Add vertical Guide / Add horizontal guide 2) If you choose Add vertical guide - it wil be added 3) Now right click on the newly added guide - you will get a color option where you can choose it to be red 4) You can move it to any position on the slide vertically Hope that helps
