Love this, I need to make these right now haha. Just FYI for though you can use the letter space thing to make them get closer together too!! Thank-you!
Super Cute. I’m new to the cricut world and have learned so much from you. Your videos are so thorough. Thank you. I can’t wait to make these for my family.
Oh this is so cool. I am going to make these for my co-workers to use for our stockroom keys. This will be a life saver since we keep losing the key... lol..!! Thanks for sharing ... you are awesome ..!!
I thought I had binged watched all of your videos but this one came up and so glad it did. Just love this project. Your detailed directions and links are the best out there. Seriously - your organization, thoroughness and attention to detail is top notch. Please don't ever change. 💗
Love love love this tutorial. Now I know what to make for my nurses and stocking stuffers for Christmas. Thank you! BTW...another hack to save time on cutting, since you know the measurements of what you are cutting, you can cut to size and arrange all your leather in 1 mat just remember one colors goes with the words. So time consuming! Keep doing what you are doing! Blessings to you and your family!
One of the best tutorials I have ever seen. You truly have a gift for teaching. Definitely a subscriber!!! ❤️ Thank you for such a wonderful explanation. Blessings to you. 🙏🏻
@@Bethadilly one quick question...I have the Maker...would I need the knife blade to cut faux leather or would the regular premium fine point blade work?
I'm so glad I came upon your channel. This is such a cool idea. Also thank you for showing us the steps again with different words/letters. It's always helpful to see it again without having to replay or jump back. Happy crafting!
Wow such a wonderful idea! I will be ordering some faux leather to create these for mothers day in May as little gifts💖 Your channel is literally the best. Thanks Beth🌸
I ordered some faux leather from the link you posted when you made the hair clips. Thank you for doing this project. Can't wait to try it! We are iced in here in Mississippi so I have lots of time for projects.
Omg! Thank you for this! Because of the video I just ordered some leather and those cute Keychain hardware. As soon as it gets here I will be making Keychain. So excited. Also hope you are doing well in your pregnancy 💜
I just rewatched this since i finally got all my materials to make a couple keychains. It was so easy and fun to make! thanks again for such a fun and easy tutorial
@Peggy Smith I know they used the blade that came with it. Only they used a heavier cut when asked for the material being used. I only remember that the person was trying to do foil on the fax leather earrings with the Joy. (The foil didn't work well. But the cut looked like cutting butter.) I hope that helps some.
Love It. Thanks for sharing. I have design space as well and for some reason I don’t have any icon on the 4 corners as if your putting a name in. Mine are just blank circles can you help by bringing the icons back? I hope you understand what I mean. It’s all new to me. Lol Thanks James
Love this tutorial and I so appreciate your teaching style and how you want to make sure we understand the process. I have a “maker” so I was wondering if choosing the “genuine leather” option would be the same? Thanks again!!
I'm new to your channel today. I have no idea if you work outside the home. But, if you do, I'm guessing you're an elementary school teacher. You explain everything very clearly. I love this idea. I had bought some fake leather with intentions of making key rings. Only my Silhouette (grasp!) Starting giving me problems after a paper jam. Now I have ordered a Joy which I expect to be delivered tomorrow. I came across your channel and am binge watching all your videos. So if I buy a Crucuit, I'm blaming not only my cousin but you as well. 😇😊 Your ideas are fun and inventive. I always believe your color choices also make me feel light and happy. Thank you for your videos. It's really nice of you all to make these for us. I'm curious as to how well the hot glue lasted on these. I honestly thought you would have used contact/rubber cement on them. If possible could you let me know how well these are holding up with the hot glue?
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! Yes, I went to school to be an elementary teacher and taught kindergarten for a brief time. :) As for the hot glue, it has held up amazing! You are definitely welcome to use the adhesive of your choice but I haven't been disappointed in the hot glue one bit!
I’m a brand new Cricuter so I apologize if this is a dumb question, but if I wanted to add say a vinyl outline or something similar to the front side, how would I go about doing that? The font is a solid font so I wouldn’t know how to do an outline using the same font, but if I wanted to just do a vinyl front through the center of the letters, I wouldn’t know how to do that without changing the font size. Which would then, of course, not fit the letters. Thanks in advance for any help!!
I love this project, but I'm so struggling with finding a font to work since "Learning Curve" is no longer available. Any suggestions on another font you like?
Hi there thanks so much for the video I love these but I cant for the life of me find learning curve font. the one I fond seems to be a cursive font. Can you guide me in the right direction? thanks so much :)
Hello everyone! The font used in this craft is called "Learning Curve" and it is a Cricut Design Space font. If you cannot find the font, it may not be available any longer. For this project, simply choose a font that is simple and bold and you'll be good to go! Happy crafting!
I just did this with my regular fine point blade and it worked great! The machine actually went over it a few times by itself so it cut all the way through! So excited!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳
My strong grip mat left a sticky residue on my faux leather. Any tips to remove it from the surface of the faux leather? I tried alcohol and wd-40, neither worked. Goo gone doesn't work because it strips the color. I'm at a loss!
Oh no! I have personally never had this happen with my faux leather on my strong grip mat, so I don't have any direction for a residue removal. Hopefully someone else will chime in their advice, if they have had this happen!
It wasn't something I downloaded, it's a Cricut font so it is already in Cricut Design Space when I type "Learning Curve" into the text search engine. :)
I'm just wondering why it's the middle name that is larger in the monogram? It would seem to me that the first name should be highlighted. Is there some standard somewhere that states this is how it is? Sorry, detail person here.
@@Bethadilly that's funny, thanks for answering so quickly, after I hit send, it did occur to me that it might be that way, but couldn't take it back...lol
Ugh! I’ve tried this 3x’s and it doesn’t cut all the way thru. Even when I resend it. New deep cut blade. I pause it in between to get fuzzies off. What am I doing wrong????????
It's hard to say what is going wrong, but it sounds like you need to add some pressure to your blade in the cutting screen on Design Space. Hopefully it begins cutting through!
I don't know if you found a solution. But try cleaning your blade with aluminum foil ball. Just get a pc of foil, turn it into a ball and stab your blade. Also, I did this before, make sure that the blade in on the correct way and that it's not upside down.

You can definitely size it differently, as long as it fits!

Hi there thanks so much for the video I love these but I cant for the life of me find learning curve font. the one I fond seems to be a cursive font. Can you guide me in the right direction? thanks so much :)

I would think so, though I always recommend doing a test cut on your machine.

I can't find the "Learning Curve" font. Where did you get that font?
Hello everyone! The font used in this craft is called "Learning Curve" and it is a Cricut Design Space font. If you cannot find the font, it may not be available any longer. For this project, simply choose a font that is simple and bold and you'll be good to go! Happy crafting!

I can’t seem to purchase this font is there any other one you recommend?
It’s a Cricut Design Space font. :)
Cute. Does the glue from glue gun hold up well?
It does!
Where did you get the font from?
Would it be possible to use htv and fold it over onto itself and press or would it melt? Just wondering might try to see
Maybe with cardstock or posterboard in the middle.

Have you tried using a gum eraser? I know it always works removing any glue residue when scrapbooking or papercrafting? 🤷🏼♀️
There's this rubber square at craft corner from Dollar Tree. They work on great on removing residue on your leather and other projects.
Can I ask what the keychain things are called please can't find them type of keychains
Hello! You can find a list of materials in the description box below the video.
Where do I find and download the Learning Curve font? The only one I am finding is a script/cursive font.
It wasn't something I downloaded, it's a Cricut font so it is already in Cricut Design Space when I type "Learning Curve" into the text search engine. :)
Can I do this with my cricut joy?
The Cricut Joy says it allows "paper thin" faux leather, so you'll just want to monitor your thickness I guess!
Can I ask what kind of mat are you using? :)
Can they be made on the Cricut maker too?
Yes.
Where did you get the font. When I search for "learning curve" I get cursive. What's another one I can use?
The font is in Cricut Design Space. I just checked and it is still there and working.
I am new to your channel. Where did you find the faux leather? I found some leatherette ribbon at Hobby Lobby. Yours is prettier.
All the materials used are in the description box of the video! :)
I'm just wondering why it's the middle name that is larger in the monogram? It would seem to me that the first name should be highlighted. Is there some standard somewhere that states this is how it is? Sorry, detail person here.
It is actually the last name that is largest, in center. The traditional order for a monogram is first, last, middle.
