I’m closing in on my retirement and I’d like to move from Minnesota to a warmer climate, but the prices on homes are stupidly ridiculous and Mortgage prices has been skyrocketing on a roll(currently over 7%) do I just invest my spare cash into stock and wait for a housing crash or should I go ahead to buy a home anyways..

It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.

Is this a good time to buy stocks? Be the turtle, not the rabbit. My point is that these big outfits have information that you will not have as a private investor. Don't be discouraged by down turns and what the media is saying. I just sold a property in Portland and I'm thinking to put the cash in stocks, I know everyone is saying it's ripe enough, but Is this a good time to buy stocks? How long until a full recovery? To be 100% honest with you. I had the same question 5years ago, I was confused as heck. Now copying other traders for over 3years now. Would like to tell you YES copy trading is a good approach, you just had to keep in mind that the success in copying another trader lies in their transparency.
I also have copied the trades of some experts in the past, it’s the easiest money i made in the market, plus you also get a learning opportunity while you earn off their expertise. Unfortunately, I still haven’t gather all the knowledge i need to DIY trades but I’m on my way. As long as you do your homework on who you’re copying and what their strategy is it’s a nice hands-off way to invest.

Only sell if you think their products & services are trending worse. Don’t panic when the market does. This will serve you well in the long-term.
My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading
