Dude i can't believe you didn't talk about the meta aspect of the game, like when you saw that creepy girl in the red dress that keeps sending you messages to your wii message board , its completely optional and no apparent connection to the main plot, it scared me to death, or the fact that you can go back to previous areas and see new hauntings even when you have no reason to go back, this game is a gem.
That’s what I’m taking about man. If people can look past the stupid quick time events and gimmicky nature, this game messes with my mind. The atmosphere of it topped outlast for me tbh. I can speed through outlast like it’s nothing but Calling was different for me. The locations were so random that it gave it an unsettling feeling to it. Like, people expect a hospital, people expect a school, but when you come across a small house with narrow corridors and a ghost you can see through the rice paper curtains just does something to ya
Not really. To be honest, the LetterBomb exploit was more creepy than this.
I'm pretty sure Nitro just missed everything related to things outside the plot.
Not like I can blame him, the Girl in Red is kind of hard to find herself.
Makes me wonder why mobile horror games aren't more common. Horror games sending you messages and notifications would be pretty horrifying. Or maybe even fake calls, that would be disturbing, imagine being called by ingame characters.
No spoilers
6:44 I just like the idea of a horror game where a string quartet just follows you and starts to play anytime something spooky happens. If you run, they chase you, tripping over each other trying to play at the same time.
Lmao
The gag unlockable makes them a mariachi band, and play mariachi music.
@@cooltrainervaultboy-39 I want that to be a skit, dammit. You start out with a serious quartet and they get corrupted into a mariachi band...
@@TreespeakerOfTheLand Mariachi Bands are Incorruptible. They are Holy.
Why not call these types of games "Drawer Simulators."
Shiro-Luna
your profile picture tells me you're an incredible unbearable person.
ozma thankfully it’s just a gaming channel
Shiro-Luna I would say “exploratory”
Arise Syndrome?
@@myhlosic you guys make twitch chat look friendly
I guess he really *called* this game out.
Jasper Catfish , you're doing God's work
but i mean he said it's average...
tbh tho, i kinda called his final verdict.
*Leave, and never return*
Your profile image makes this more amazing
epic
Some of the secrets you can collect when replaying Makoto's levels is that you can encounter a ghost in red. She will stalk Makoto, kind of, and after each encounter she sends a creepy note to your wii messageboard/mailbox. Loved the video, btw :) Calling was a big part of my Wii youth!
Toldasor Just here to say thanks for the info and that your pfp looks almost like the Infect symbol in Magic: the Gathering.
I never finished it. But one spook I really appreciated was the one when you're trapped in a bathroom stall. Just learning that something was staring at you from the top of the stall the whole time you were puzzled is really creepy.
That violin pose was priceless, imagine a person shaking ghosts in this way XD
I'm guessing he didn't find the red lady that sends you messages like "I found you" through the wii message box. To me that was the best part of the game. Kinda creepy.
I know right, the times she appeared was often really random and unexpectedly, scared the shit out of me haha
This game is so RNG, a lot of random scary shit happen...or don't happen, so a play through can be ranged from shitting my pants to hugging Reiko just for the heck of it. The red woman is heart stopping though, after you collect every encounter, she invades the title screen with a Ring-ish jump scare. I'd prefer more unsettling slow paced coming out of screen thing, like the mirror scene from the barber shop.
Calling
You hear the Calling
LET ME GO, GRAVITY, WHAT'S ON MY SHOULDER
LITTLE BY LITTLE I FEEL A BIT BETTER
Melted Sherbert had that running through my head too ;)
WAKE UP
Melted Sherbert I love you so much right now
Melted Sherbert I see I'm not the only one who remembers that game :)
Anyone else want to see Nitro review TWEWY?
I mean, Square kinda swept it under the rug and doesn't seem to care anymore despite how well received it was upon its initial release.
And seems to have done nothing to celebrate its 10 year anniversary. *:'(*
Why does Makoto look like that guy from Resident Evil 4?
Luis Sera and i guess its because they almost have the same hair style.
DieHardjagged And the exact same outfits
Luis from Resident Evil 4 and Vincent from Silent Hill 3
Louis? LOOOOUUUUIIISSSS!!!!
Was gonna post this lol.
That dude is just japanese Luis
"Their designs just aren't that scary"
Won't lie, one reason I clicked on this vid was because the ghost in the thumbnail is pretty cute.
Oh, I’m glad someone else knows about this game! I had a hard time playing it because it was pretty scary to me, but I got through it a few times and found secrets.
Also, I’m one of those who called it “The Calling”.
There’s a ghost that pops up when you do quick turns. Her face is all covered with hair and her mouth is just a gaping hole. So creepy and I hate it. Made me stop quick turning. Some ghosts and shadows also show up when you run.
Yeah I remember playing this game alot and it scared me everytime. There also were so many random creepy things happening
"I don't know why I bought two."
Make that easy $1.50 at GameStop and get yourself an Arnold Palmer, yo!
Yeah... I was ready for an honest review on this game XD this is one of the few horrors games I really love, for narrative and atmosphere. I'm a narrative gamer, I love seeing the stories that some games offer and Calling's plot stood out to me (and inspired me a lot in my writing). Even though this game has a special place in my heart and I still say it's one of my favorite games ever, I am aware of all the things you pointed out. There are times I stopped playing the game because some levels just went on and on and on. Some of the collectables I couldn't find because there were just moments of: "Oh, my God, I just want to finish this level". There was also that ongoing jumpscare from some ghosts, like their eyes popping up suddenly. Still would jump a little bit but it got tiring. And YES. The English voice acting, they went cheap on that, I CAN NOT play the game with that voice audio on. Even though I've played this a bunch of times, I would still get scared sometimes because: 1 I have nyctophobia. "What the fuck is a nyctophobic doing playing horror games?" you're wondering, look I can't help it XD even though you can clearly see what's in front of you (which you have pointed out), there are times that I need a flashlight because of how dark it can be, and this was usually in the school and hospital. I would run in the hallways to get to destination because... Well, let's just say games like this remind me of my phobia. 2. Yes, those sudden and subtle ghosts that will show up while you play. Like what you showed: shadows quickly running past the scene, the stair girls. There are other ones like a ghost boy in a cabinet, or a girl falling out of a closet you opened (which still gets me when I do it). There's also two girls in the school's bathrooms, one that was uh... Hanging from the ceiling. Which pretty much explains how she died. The other one traps you in a stall and you have to look up to see her looking down at you with her wide, red eyes. ... She's not a favorite. Pretty sure I had nightmares. Also, I'm surprised you didn't mention this next one, or you didn't experience it which... Lucky you XD with the nunchuck, you can quickly spin around to look behind you with Z. Sometimes when you do this, you get a ghost to suddenly show up and I hate this freaking ghost. Her eyes and mouth are just pure black and her face is rotting- starting from the mouth. I HATE her XD OH, there is a little thing that the developers did that I think is creepy as fuck still. If you die from the ghosts you fight with, a picture is sent to you in your Wii mail of the aftermath. It's the little stuff, you know XD
I'm sorry for the long comment on a 2 year old video XD
I really like how your go-to awkward music is always from Earthbound :P
SweetWheatsy it's perfect for when you need to get a silly point across.
Mother 2's music is good for a lot of things
"Hi Nitro Rad. Welcome to Jirard's empty drawers They're all empty." - Scary Game Squad (probably)
this is one of those must buy games for the wii, its just a unique game for the system even if it isn't your type of game it's always fun to see other people play it.
"I don't know why I bought two."
That's what made me subscribe and hit the bell perfect comedy dude
I was really captivated by this game. I swear, hunting this game down when it was rare was a horror movie in the making. No game store I went to sold it - nothing on ebay. It was like I was searching for a missing, cursed game.
i remember when i had this huge horror game phase and this was one that really captured me for some reason
Hey James, great Halloween marathon. May I suggest “Nanshi no game” for the Nintendo DS for a video maybe next year? It’s a Japanese only game for the DS (it has an English patch, though.) with a premise akin to the ring. You are sent a cursed game on your TS (basically the DS.) and you have seven days to beat it or else you die. It’s split between segments where you hold the DS like you would in last window/hotel dusk and move around in the real world where you solve puzzles, and the TS, where you save, check your e-mail and play the cursed game. If you haven’t checked it out, I recommend it!
Scrubnoppon I played it before. Because of the narrow screen to move, it was really haunting.
Both Nanashi no Game and Nanashi no Game Me were really good. Especially Nanashi no Game Me because it had those platforming mini games.
Like always a great video. By the way I just rewatched all your Silent Hill videos and I must say they are simply amazing!!! Defiantly some of my all time favorite game related videos on TH-cam.
You used to *call* me on my cellphone
ITechno Gaming late night when u need my luv XDD
I think you mean wii remote
I'm getting kind of a Corpse Party vibe from this game.
HeadbangingPizza that’s what I was thinking with the setting. I was like”this is discount corpse party:Motion control Wii edition”
I got this game from GameStop when it was rare to find. I was like oh! Imma freak little 10 yo self out. Unfortunately my little R.L. Stein goosebump hyped brain would prepare me for this. I’ll admit that the ghost encounters weren’t really scary, just annoying. But the thing is I played it faithfully until a bathroom scene in the school. It was a scene in which you would have to look around to basically jump scare yourself to continue but I didn’t know where to look. Until I saw a girl peering over the stall. This freaked me out to the point where I didn’t play it for many years, until the older and upgraded version of me would be able to handle such “nightmare fuel”. Basically I went through many surreal areas (one of which being literally a single closet like room where it confined you inside with nothing but a computer). The whole aspect of the game really stuck in the back of my mind. If it wasn’t for the wii and didn’t rely on quick time ghost events this game could have been a classic. I played this game for weeks exploring everything and I can recall around 20 different areas to explore. From an abandoned apartment to a hotel room to a hair salon to a computer cafe etc. This game in itself is a surreal experience and if you can look past the awkward wii controls and horrible ghost concepts. Then this game will toy with your mind a little bit. I would honestly recommend this to any fan of exploration horror.
But this is coming from the guy that has over 300 hours in open ocean for the wii so ya know take what I have to say with a grain of salt.
It’s endless ocean
A bit late, but the only thing I found in my new playthrough was the girl in a red dress. I don't think she has any significance but she was there. There was also a bonus room you can explore but I can't remember much.
There is no greater horror than Psychological horror... such a tragic shame that Calling never got a sequel or that games like Silent Hills P.T. never get developed, well thought out meaningfull games and developers like this don't receive the love, support and respect they truly deserve. Thats one of the main reasons why gave up on gaming after Wii and PS3, just became too coorporate, stagnant and above all else soulless. Thanks to everyone at Hudson Soft for creating this beautiful game and having the courage to try something different even if it probably wouldnt have been popular, that's how and when the greatest games are usually made.. wiv Luv Shan ❤
3:21 the Japanese in the cupboard says "There's no salvation" Edit: Or "There's no escape"
On topic though: the game's dub is so fucking bad it takes alot out of the game for me. Thank fuck they added that dual audio option which should be a standard option or else the developer has to cut off their own tongue with a pair of rusty blunt scissors.
Flokker Really? I'm no Japanese expert and I'm definitely not calling bullshit but isn't it written in Katakana, I thought that meant it's an English word.
Well; Japanese is weird. Sometimes (more in comic book context) words are written in Katakana even though they should be in Hiragana / Kanji. The word there is "タスカラナイ"
in Romaji: *Tasukaranai*
In the usual way it would be written: 助からない, which means "there's no saving 'X'".
'X' Being the person it's addressing; but since we dont know who that person is; it's better to translate it as "There's no salvation." or "There's no escape"
You are correct though; Katakana is used more in western words that've been Japanified like "Computer (コンピュータ)" or as Japanese like to call it "Personal Computer 'Pasokon' (パソコン)"
Fun fact: Kuroneko just means "black cat" in japanese.
The most famous and epic Kuroneko of all is the one in "Trigun". He has no other function in the anime other than being a "waldo" type of character. He's there to be cute and smile like a sarcastic maniac at the viewer.
Mate, you need to do more reviews ,they are so great to watch!
Ik u won't see this 5 years later, but bro u have got me so into the retro gaming culture. It's fascinating how and why they did what they did with these games. They had very limited programming but most of these games blow expectation clearly over the earth it's insane. It's fascinating on its face.
Dude you are slowly becoming my new favourite you tuber I really enjoy your format. Do u have a review for fatal frame series if u have I've probably fallen asleep watching all your videos on a playlist I enjoy them that much.
These Wii games were like the precursors to current VR horror games.
Was really hoping you'd cover this game! Thanks Nitrorad!
I loved your wild Wiimote flailing. Big Wii mood.
I've been marathoning all your videos, love your content dude. Keep it up.
You should search the areas more thoroughly in your next playthrough. You can encounter the women with the red dress ghost and she gives off the scariest scares in the entire game. She looks like Samara but with a red dress and ten times more creepy. If you want to experience one of those scares without replaying the levels you can actually do it through idling at the start screen.
you should play the nameless game (nanashi no game) on the nds.
sassarious sanzen daisen sekai haha! I just commented that he should!
Every time I hear "Nitro Rad" being whispered in the beginning, I always hear "Nitro Fred".
Nex Nitro Friend...
I thought his name was retro rad took like twenty videos till I relised.
I remember when I was younger my brother would play it, and as a kid, even though I was only watching him play, I had actual nightmares. Now I am not as terrified but still a little.
I'd just like to compliment you on providing the first footage I've ever seen of somebody playing an "Amnesia syndrome" type game where they actually just open all the draws starting at the bottom rather that opening and closing each one from the top.
I know that's the definition of a pet peev, but its baffling that all these different LPers I've seen never think of it.
It's always a good day when Nitro puts up a video
I love all of Nitro Rad's videos. They always feel so authentic and genuine. It feels like with every video I click on I'm visiting an old friend.
From what I'v seen my favorite part of the game is honestly the logo. I really like it for some reason...
I remember seeing this game in an old copy of Nintendo Power magazine I had as a kid, it wasn't the main article, which was Super Scribblenauts if you're wondering, it was just an add but it always stuck out to me and I was always curious about it, I haven't watched the review yet but I am sure you will do a great job as always!
I really love watching these videos from you. I've been binge watching your videos and even watch the reviews for the games I'm not interested in lol. Great job as always. God bless♥
I will always wait for a Parasite Eve video or the white day Ps4 remake
"The Callening!"
Anyone remember Milon's Secret Castle? My first Hudson experience was the gameboy version of that game. It was a SUPER difficult Legend of Zelda inspired sidscroller with a story that felt both generic and unique. Apparently the console version came first and was more unforgiving but limitations of the gameboy made certain aspects insane. You play as an elf called Milon who lives in this world of elves who are all musically centered in their culture. He is apparently tonedeaf and goes on this soulsearching journey or soemthing, inyl to come back and find an evil wizard took over. Yeah, that's the INTRO. As the last hope of his princess and prople, the underdog must make his way through the many rooms of the castle, get upgrades and make it to the tower to save the princess. The hubworld is the outside of the castle. As you beat all the rooms in whatever order you want, you fight a boss then gain acess to a hught floor in the castle. There are shops and secret rooms and even some levels are secrets. One of the first stages of the firat level is found hidden in the well out front and an entire tower of the castle is discovered to be invisable to stop you. Most levels are linear but some are not. Reguardless, there are perpetually spaning enemies and you can only beat it by finding the secret key and getting to the exit door. You use magic bubbles to fight in thsi game that are shot foreward and can be upgraded. The theme and gameplay feels like a mix of Kid Icaris and Zelda 2. The way you find the hidden key is to shoot a very particular brick in each level. I belive they are color coated in the consol version to differentiate but in the gameboy version, you just have to keep spamming the attack on every pical as you go through the level. Its lucky your bubbles are infinate and you can shoot a second as soon as the first is no longer on screen. The keys are not the only secrets that can be obtained by shooting bricks however. If yoy shoot the right one in levels, the Hudson Bee will pop out and start to move toward the edge of the screen. I beleive it was a one up if you got it in time. THIS is why it became so ingrained that this was a Hudson game in my mind and why i associate ther two so much more than even bomberman. This mascot cameo that you were bound to run into trying to find the only way to beat a level, became very memerable and unique for me at the time. No. I never beat it. The game was insanely hard and i do remeber where being a super long annoying passcode system but i also remember there being an issue with using it..I cant remember for sure but I think it just got you to the same area without accomodating the upgrades you would have ontained so you were doomed anyway..or something like that..the graphics didnt help at all with way too many enemies onscreen at once and unfiar hitboxes..I also had Kid Icarus for the gameboy and the two felt very simalar in how unfiar they could be. That was another game I never actually..one thing that set Milon apart though was the western box art (japanese is cutesy as all hell and thus still awesome.) Despite being an very Link ass looking elf in a fairy world of music; the box was done in that epic painting style atari often used to sell its games. You had this cockily grinning Milon in a yellow version of Links outfit and throwing bubbles that look like goant crystal balls from a crubling castle ledge. He is hrling them at a bug eyed wavyrn demon hovering over an acid pit right in front of Milon. A flying fosh demon is on the approach from the side and the rest of the castle sprawls out in the backgroud. The name of the game blocks most of it on the front, but the logo also has a fifferent dragon demon, with an upset/shocked expression as a one of the bublled is exploding agaisnt its abdomin violently. This is spaced better on the actual cartridge so the name is not overlapping the image that was supposed to be just to the left, as much. It was a super hardcore fantasy image..that only kind of fit the actual gameplay with excessive imagination..i cant say I saw game Million as this super sassy expressioned, confident hero as he operated in game..but it got me to play it and I srill had fun as a kid. It is sad to me that Hudson went under because i really felt it still had potential as a property..most people I know are aware of Hudson but never even heard of Milon...for me the two became insperaable associateion but I know im fairly alone in that and sad it had to be the case..therr was one sequal apparently for the SNES and the AVGN apparently did a review on the old NES orgional but I sadly never got to experience either of these..

spooky mysterious person: hi

watch every horror game video that isn't silent hill by nitro rad and see how many times he mentions silent hill
Another great video!
Just the cover of Calling, when I saw it in a store, scared me too much to even think about enjoying it since Im very easily scared.. I'm always interested in those games though, so I'm glad you presented it! It really looks fun since I enjoy aiming a flashlight with the wii-remote but the 1st-person perspective would make me feel insanely tense the whole game :o
Maybe you heard about Fragile Dreams:Farewell to the ruins of the moon already? It's also a horror game for the wii but it's more focused on creating atmosphere and being mysterious insead of actually scary. I loved the presentation even though it of course has it's flaws. Quite a few actually but it has such a dear place in my heart because it's the first and only 'horror' game I can actually play without being terrified so I just have to talk about it when it's october
You should try Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon on the Wii. It's sort of like this where you use the Wii remote as a flashlight and you explore your surroundings. I also think the game has a pretty cool atmosphere. It's kind of hard to find cheap but I think you might like it.
you need to play fragile dreams for the wii
Yes! Id love to see this.
> Be me

> realise I spoiled all main and side missions by seeing every location they will take place in and remembering all weird stuff
> use almost none of the massive stockpile of items

> beat game, still have hundreds of beers, healing items and max ammo for all guns
Why am I like this?
This was one of the first games I bought myself for my new wii. (That and Rhythm Heaven Fever and Fragile Dreams) I LOVED this game! It wasn't super scary, but it was very fun to play in a dark room with my middle school friends. And the English was always a bonus to laugh at.
NITRO! I am so happy you made this video. This game was one of my first horror Wii games and I was considering suggesting it to you. Now, let's see if you praise it or rip it to pieces. But I'm glad this vid exists :)
I rented this from my library back in late highschool. It was a weird time.
Birthday uploads are always nice
The mechanics of teleporting between different telephones gives me vibes of Myst, as well as The Music Machine by David Szymanski. That game had you dialling certain codes to travel between dimensions, and it was pretty decent.
No matter how many flaws the game has, that Wii-mote as a cellphone gimmick is brilliant and quite pant-shitting effective.
I really loved this game to be honest. Played it a few years ago when the Wii was pretty much dead. I was looking for a horror game, had already played Shattered Memories and Cursed Mountain, and a lot of the other games were super highly priced.
It dropped to like $20 sealed (I didn't know it was reprinted, just assumed a bunch of copies were found somewhere),and I'm a big fan of Japanese horror. The thing is I can't remember if I completed it or not. I remember the fakeout ending coming pretty abruptly...and then I think I kept dying in a room with multiple ghosts and got pissed off. Gonna try it here again this week lol.
I must applaud your diehard fanboy nature. I love Silent Hill as well, but you hold it up as some pinnacle of horror, which I'm not sure I could agree with. I respect that a lot though. I'm a diehard Dark Souls fan,so I can appreciate it.
I like the mention of the stairs scare. My favorite scare of all time is from F.E.A.R. you climb the ladder and the chick was just there. It's stupid and cheap, but it stuck with me.
I've been rewatching these older videos pretty much non stop, and I've really been enjoying myself. I'm not a fan of the little skits, but the reviews are fantastic, even if I don't agree. The videos are very well thought out and put together. I can see the love and effort. They deserve more attention and engagement imo.
I remember really liking this game back when i first played it
I actually remember this as one of the first horror games I watched on TH-cam. X'D At the time it was scary to me, times have changed lol.
was going through ur horror playlist just last night :P
*Calling, you hear the Calling...*
i remember playing this game a couple years ago. it was ok, byt the scariest part for me was the first time i opened a door and it just led into the void. it gives a really strong feeling of being trapped in this nightmare world, constrained by some malicious force you know nothing about. i thought that part was pretty neat.
That violin gag just got you a like
This was and still is one of my fave games ever made!
Remember getting this one, like 5 years ago or so. It was brand new for just 5 bucks, for that price it's pretty good!
Hey man
I just wanted to say I'm sorry brother, I MISS ya brother, we hanged around an you sponser me it good times brother so yeah i miss u brother i'm sorry it shsme gave to be this way brother I miss you brother I polgy brother I miss you brother I'm going in circles brother please borrow me 60 buck I promise I pay back brother I miss you brother ok peace outby
Mah man, mah bro, you still alive?!
i enjoy alot, watching your shows. thank you
my mom used to play it for me as a kid and it scared us both so bad. it's not the best or worst but I have so many good memories with it. would recommend
This is so nostalgic for me.
Good gracious, why is he reviewing so many horror games this month? I'm waiting for the next platfor-....*checks calendar*...oops. Nevermind, pardon me.
NitroRad you should definitely play some of the old spongebob games like battle for bikini bottom.
Nitro Halloween specials for the win!!!!!
First work day taking calls ... OH BOY NITRO RAD VIDEO
YASS FINALLY! I was waiting for him to finally talk about this game ;;;;
11:40 I hear that subtle Resident Evil Remake save room theme you snuck in there
wearing night vision goggles, but you don't have your flashlight
'You can't see well in the darkness'
This game would also leave burnt envelopes in your Wii Message Board that would contain pictures of something although I don't remember what the pictures were about.
I think this game had some really cool moments, I also loved the speaker onn the wiimote to be honest
I love it's box art and title font using phone reception bars as I and L
Missed out on calling this October series the Hallowiin special
How does he only have 43k Subs he's easily one of the best TH-camrs ever.
TH-cam didn't put the automatic subtitles on this video? that's weird. It's useful to me as I'm not a native english speaker.
There is also Ikenie no Yoru on the Wii, which is interesting and has an English translation patch. The monsters in that kind of remind me of the Nanashi no Game horror series on the DS
Fun fact: i used to have a gaming magazine that has a walkthrough of this game when i was a kid. the image of one of the ghostly girl is in one of the pages and she's always staring at the viewer. i was so scared that i ended up stapled the page and never see it again.
ngl, this is one of my favorite horror games
It should have been called Amnesia: The Dork Descent.
Oh, I remember this game. I've seen pictures of it but really never remembered the name, let alone hear much about it... I just knew there was some horror game on the Wii where I got to play as the guy from Brain Age.
6:40 Oh you sassy man, Nitro Rad.
6:10 Hey! Luis found new work. 😊
Just have to say... saw this game, the idea amused me... found it for 9.99 on amazon. It came in less than 48hrs. Weird controls but you are right, you get used to them. My Wiimote speakers work fine and I use the 'Cellphone through wiimote' option. I think the game is charming. I even found some of the scares rather freaky. The one with the dolls not gonna lie... got me. Looking around that room in my first 'CAUTION' mode...... then I'm like... "Oh God... it's behind me isn't it...." (Then again... dolls creep me out). So thank you for the suggestion, I find this game just CHARMING and rather fun to play.
I call it Adventure Game Syndrome when theres too many empty drawers. I remember Fallout 3 being infamous with it
6:09
He came to look for hope :)
love your reviews, my man.
Damn I forgot I had this game until I spotted this video in my recommended section.
6:23 - 6:49
There's a very similar mechanic in the Wii game Escape from Bug Island.
This game ripped off a mechanic from Escape from Bug Island.
Hudson Soft looked at Escape from Bug Island and said "Yes. YES. That's what we want!"
Also, since everybody is recommended horror games in the comments, I would recommend Fragile Dreams for the Wii. It's not a horror game at all, really, but it plays similarly to one.
This game needs a remake IMO
