I used to stutter, I noticed when I woke up in mornings I was able to talk in my natural powerful voice without stuttering. Make sure you breathe deeply with diaphragm breathing and think clearly. Meditation and yoga helps. Talk in a slow voice and when your by your self? talk and read a book out loud and annunciate your words and each syllable with power and super slow and loud. :)

This makes it sound like stuttering is a physical mechanical problem but most stutters speak fluently when alone so its not that there’s something wrong with the speech mechanism its more of a psychological problem

None of the techniques is meant for everyone; they are matched to the type of stuttering you have. The ultimate intent of the techniques is to reduce the anxiety about stuttering; less anxiety results in less muscle tension when speaking and less stuttering. The techniques aren't the answer to stuttering, just a step along the path to greater confidence speaking and better control of stuttering moments. GJR

This is an interesting vid. Never heard of the airflow technique. I've always had some issues with my speech. I talk way too fast. Find it hard to slow down. I might even have a mild 'clutter'? There are certain sentences that I struggle with no matter how slow I say them. It's like my mouth and tongue struggle to work together and sometimes I do feel as though the air is getting caught in my throat. Maybe i'll see a speech therapist or something one day. PS. Renee is gorgeous.

1980sbrawl Do you think anyone is perfect in life? Go and see what big disabilities people have. Some can't walk, some can't see, some can't hear, some can't speak atall. Thank god that you don't have so much trouble in life as them. And speaking the way you like is your birth right. If someone wants to listen then they are welcome, and if someone doesn't want to listen, show them a middle finger. Thats all. And if you have the determination, by constant hardwork, you can easily improve your speech

You'll do it man ik you shall. I'm a stutterer too but I'm practicing these techniques and they help a lot. Practice is the key. Mind it. Practice . Practice it for alreast 1 month many times. And then after practicing see where you get stuck and then find out a way for that. I know you shall. I'm with you. May Allah bless you❤

@@rokerma123 How dare you make stuttering out to be something that isn't of concern. Some people can't walk, thats THEIR inherent issue. Some people can't speak, that's THEIR issue. Comparing the two has no value. Think twice before giving advice that isn't necessary at all.

When speaking, don’t think about it and just keep going. If you have a “block,” instead of trying to push through the word. Quickly replace it with another one.

that may be because we tend to get nervous whenever we have to speak to someone else, concerned we're gonna start stammering..now what about trying not to be so concerned about that? I often try that and it always works, just relax, forget about how much you stutter and just slow the fuck down! LOL..you should be able to overcome it. The only problem is, if you're stressed it tends not to work so the secret is remaining calm!!

I met Martin Schwartz when he came to LA, sometime 88 I believe. The 1st part of the seminar is Free, the 2nd is you pay the full amount upfront, upon returning for the 2nd half, 50% of the people who never returned. Had a feeling then I should of asked for my check & walked out the door, I regret that I didn't... The "Air Flow technique: is NOT for everyone, it's a joke, after 4-5 months of trying, I could not master it, asked Schwartz for a refund years later and it was declined, BEWARE.

@Darkish04 Yes this technique is very useful in opening vocal cords if it is done correctly. Although, It's very hard to apply correctly under high stress and in real life situations. It requires much practice.

This is a rather primitive version of the Passive Airflow Technique, not at all like I was taught by Dr Schwartz in 1981. The airflow should be much more passive and slight, not the heavy breathing-out in the video. Schwartz warned against 'pushed' flows (forced flows). A correct flow should not be heard. And nothing is said about slowed first syllables and the 'Intent to Rest' which prevents scanning for feared words.

I think it's cause the pressure of speaking lifts, and so your mind doesn't do it.. it's also like in the choral effect-thing, it tricks your mind so that you think you're talking with other people. ~I'mNotReallySure.

I know stuttering can seem overwhelmingly bad from time to time;;; at least that was my experience. I didn't start therapy until I was 22 years old; I learned that there are ways of managing and controlling stuttering. It took a while to learn them, but I got there. But don't do anything drastic like suicide! You can learn to manage your stutter better. If you have a Skype account, email me at gary.rentschler@gmail.com and perhaps I can help you get started.
