on the basis of this video I officially love this guy and I couldn't have said it better myself. Kossoff Was Awesome and Free should have been as big as Zeppelin!
Bad Co. were almost as big as Zep and shared the same management. Whilst Free and Bad Co. are different acts they have more in common that just two musicians. It is water from the same well.
Not knocking Joe, as he is apparently a prime reason this guitar was produced, but it would have been nice to hear a more genuine recreation of a Kossoff solo, to really hear how this particular model of guitar matches the original. That said, it's cool that a guitar company like Gibson finally gave Kossoff some props... Obviously, at $7K to $10K a pop, the remaining guitars are for the well heeled... the rest of us just attempt to adapt the Free sound to whatever we've got. :-)
Is this the guitar that was in natural worn finish during ilse of wight 70?? I loved the natural look. Now it looks like any other burst. The natural was really unique. Tgey should have left it natural. The original, and this custom shop model

I don't move well to Joes Playing, or Vintage Associations. Van Halens One Pickup/One Volume Knob...Body & Neck...??? It makes the Vintage Industry look like a Scam.

In fairness I've a vintage v100 upgraded with tonerider AC2 pickups and cts pots which to me sounds every bit as good. It's a bit of wood
