So much layers to the meaning of this video. here was my perspective
The song is called unemployed and shows the metaphor of the couch potato. It shows Tierra as a chef making food from small potatoes. This is symbolizes how poverty can ruin a poor person's live if they don't act. You can see some potatoes jump of the table to rescue themselves. However once Tierra goes to the dining, the food she makes is now being served to bigger potatoes. This then symbolize Tierra as an act of corruption. How the rich eat off everything from the poor. The 3rd layer is Tierra's perspective and she has to do her job despite not liking it. She is very aware that her job ruins other people's lives but she know that's the only way to success hence "she gets down and dirty too". She represents the middle class who please the rich and take their instruction in order to succeed. Damn! i don't know if anyone caught that.
This song goes so hard. I keep it on repeat. I love the concept of the vid as well.. And my mom has given me with concepts on various things.

I've seen a few comments like this and I'm actually not sure that's quite right. She's describing the process of coming up with ideas, and strictly nothing else, which to me suggests she's just actively not talking about what she's saying with the ideas. Like sure, it starts with couch potato as a visual, but it's also clear they were discussing it and all buzzing off the idea and bringing things to it, and I don't think that would've happened if they weren't connecting over things. She even says she had to come up with a story around what's happening, she just never says "This story is referencing Sarah Baartman, exploitation and self-cannibalism for fame" or whatever, she just happens to have a big ass in a subservient role
