Glad i watched this before applying - I was also tempted to not bother with painting my shields white!

Ever thought of using Veni Vidi Vici transfers instead. Printed on clear carrier film, shaped for the shield, so no cutting out required. Since the background is transparent, you can paint the shield the colour of your choice.

I haven’t heard of these but I will defiantly take a look into them next time I’m adding to my ancients

Definitly worth it, better to go through and cut them all then try and paint the same design on each shield. Great tutorial Matt.

Great tips Matt. I could have used this about 5 years ago when I had my first experience with LBM decals. They are awesome decals.

I made a few mistakes first time round but it was my fault for not having a look on TH-cam or ready the instructions properly :) I do love the decals! Glad I bought them

Very useful Matt. You pick up a lot of tips doing these things so hopefully you’ll save a few people from having to learn the hard way. 👍

They can be a bit fiddly but once you’ve done a few they because quite easy :)

The whole cutting the transfer in 1/2 seems like a pretty fiddily process.

Yes these scutum shields are fiddly but other shields such as round shields don’t require to be cut in half
