That is a very old laptop, doubt it's worth worrying about. If you drop the hard drive out of the case it is in, it should be SATA connector. You need to take the keyboard out, there are screws under there. Yeah, it's junk but pulling it apart still could be fun. You should find a little bezel strip above the keyboard or there will be little notches to place a flat head screw drive to pop the keyboard and there is about 6 odd screws there. They were always a real pain to tear down due to the keyboard covering the screws real east to damage the keyboard the first few times stripping one down.
Thanks for the tip!! Yeah, it was toast toast. Surprisingly, it's an IDE hard drive, which looks like it'll still spin up, but it's a mini IDE connector, almost like a floppy connector. Very strange!
@@urzamaster if you can dump the hard drive's image and find if it still has installers for its drivers, i think uploading them to internet archive would be a worthwhile thing to do imo even better if it has a recovery partition as well
