Wow..thanks for the memories......Class of 1981 here, but things really hadn't changed from this time period......You even captured the planes going by, and the bells with the clock buzzers....That sound is still embedded in my brain....LOL...And of course we can't leave out Mr Mcgar, and Mr Funari, who was one of the nicest teachers...The kids wound up giving the poor guy a nervous breakdown !

I was class of 75, and was a member of the dance band in the video. For some reason I wasn't at that practice! That was awesome to remember those times!

At 3:30 you can hear both the bells and the classroom clock buzzers. I don't know if it's still like that today..... I was an 81' graduate !

@EmuGamer Dude i went to a catholic grammar school directly across the street from Elmont Memorial High in the 80s and the kids told tales of how bad things were - it ALREADY was super horrifying. Even in my catholic grammar school, the teachers would have nervous breakdowns and throw books across the room and slam doors All the Time due to violent aggressive studnts berating and abusing them and the students found it funny. I observed all this. There was NO and I mean NO disciplinary action or authority in charge to punish abusive children, so the result was that every other child mostly joined into the abuse against the teachers and some students (mostly me). As the lack of punishment was SO normalized. There was something very, very bad in the water or environment making the kids so evil. Or the parents REFUSE (they would tell me and walk away) to parent. A conscious choice by all authority figures involved to not protect children or the teachers, or apply ANy rules. It was almost unnatural what I saw. Never saw it at any other school again. And I'd lived in three states by the time i was 18. I got targeted since I was a tomboy, white and I was poor. I was the only northern euro white there, The ONLY one. I did not belong there. this is only grammar school Im talking about.
