    Have you considered using a plastic coil (like those book binding coils) or stainless steel spring instead of those 90 degree unions? Sliding a coil/spring into the tube should prevent the tube from kinking, proving more than enough turn radius to small and tight areas, and would eliminate two additional points of possible failure down the road.

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got the spring actually but it didn't come in time for the video. The first turn as it leaves the CO2 tube area and goes into the body is still way to harsh a curve but it may work well in some other areas of the machine.

    I need to relocate my laser two miles from where I am right now. Whilst I’m confident I could move it without removing the tube, I’m not going to take that chance. Do you have any videos on draining the laser and disconnecting the essentials for moving?

    Also, our silicone tubing has turned green...NOT from alge but could this be from corrosion of the target metal??

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be. In my experience it all turns green over time. Could be metal from inside the system somewhere but not sure.

    Hey Alex...I have he same machine as you red and black 80 watt co2 laser. My question is when it comes time to replace the tube can the 80 watt tube be bumped to a 100 watt or 120 watt or is that a no no?

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do it you just may need a new power supply, so make sure you look up your power supply model and check the rating for what it can supply and make sure it can supply enough power to your new tube!

    hello, I have an omtech 100w co2 laser and trying to figure out if I have to replace the tube or the power supply. my problem is that the screen that controls the output current shows me a continuous drop in current during the cut. After 20 minutes of cutting the output current goes from 24 to 17mA, which causes poor work.
    Also the screen keeps showing the message "laser tube abnormal", does anyone have any solution? Have you already encountered this problem?

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't encountered this specific problem but judging by what you've included in your comment I'd focus my attention on the power supply first. Not saying there isn't anything wrong with the tube, but I feel like you're describing power supply issues. Don't recommend trying to repair them on your own I'd simply replace it - especially if you've had it for a while.

    Can i ask for a link where to buy a good reci tube for delivery in EU? I found many options on Alibaba but I’m sure many of them are not original. Unfortunately most suppliers in US don’t ship to EU. Also i have an issue with my laser. I have sparks coming off the tube instead of going through the tube and now the tube is dead. Is the tube broken or is power issue? The cable got burned so i cut it cleaned it and reconnect it and again a spark comes out and it’s going off.

    • @LaserEverything
      @LaserEverything  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not too familiar with EU suppliers if I'm being completely honest. Check with Cloudray or Wavetopsign on AliExpress. Also check out LightObject.com which is where I get my tubes. They're in the US and I'm not sure if they offer international shipping but if they do they're a great resource.

    Which size tubing is this. Your link takes to a 6mm ID / 8mm OD. But this is waaay too small.

    • @LaserEverything

      mine is 6x8 but 10x12 is another common size. Best bet is to remove your existing tubing and measure though, just to be sure it's correct.
