I think we can all agree that The Overlook Hotel would be an AMAZING map. It could have two maps, a hotel section and a hedge maze section

@@JoicSeth it's just gotta be changed a bit then, maybe it could be like the person near the person injured becomes exposed if they dont get out of a certain area on the map. Or maybe just stay out of the line of sight of Jack for long enough.
What do you think his power would be? Maybe he'd summon the ghosts somehow. Maybe he'd be able to break pallets faster and maybe even (this'd be kinda goofy to watch) be able to cut or break through vault spots.
Maybe he could stick his axe in the ground, absorb some sort of entity power, and the axe would gleam in the direction of the closest survivor.

i feel maybe the perk should make the survivor who threw the pallet scream or make them exposed for a short amount of time
Jack Torrance was an aspiring writer and saw his life turning for the better. He had recently stopped drinking after an accident with his son danny. He had recently gotten a job at ther overlook hotel: he would watch over over it throughout the winter. It would give him plenty of time to write, plus his family was going to be there with him. What could go wrong?
But then he realized what he has truly been called to the hotel there. He slowly lost his grip on reality, and his writing was going nowhere. His son must have realised that he was discovering the truth, and sent out a distress call. Jack fell of the wagon, and his was told his task. And so he tried, he even disposed of the distress signal his son had called but in the end, his family got the better of him. As he slowly froze to death, a dark fog took over him, unlike the blizzard which he thought would be his last sight. He was confused. He had failed his task, hadn't he? But this new force gave him a second chance. He didn't need convincing. He was the caretaker, and he had a duty.

faintly hearing some sort of music underneath the chase music and recognizing it as "Midnight, The Stars, And You" scared the everloving shit out of me. I had the feeling like I found something I should'nt have. 10/10, I love how faithful it is to the actual musical score, and I noticed you're very good at replicating that in a lot of your chase music.

Frigid Labyrinth (Or a better name, just a placeholder)
While walking on a survivors scratch marks, you move 5/6/7% faster. Scratch marks no longer fade

I based this one off the scene near the end of the movie, when Danny is getting chased through the hedge maze. The idea is that the perk is meant to grow in power over time as survivors run, effectively leaving "Tracks", but like in the movie the tracks grew impossible to follow, and lead to Jack's demise. In game, it would work similarly, where you go from having nothing from the perk to constantly moving faster, at the expense of not being able to read scratch marks effectively.

@@chillyconmor that's funny cause that's also what lead to him not catching Danny. Getting lost and confused, pretty fitting. Like Leatherface camps hooks, ghost face is kinda goofy and Michael just STARES most of the time.

Placing the iconic Shining riff and Midnight, the Stars, and You underneath the chase music was such a neat touch, this is definitely my favorite of yours, so detailed and cohesive

It would be cool if If as jack Torrence is slowly freezing, he feels warmth going off somewhere close in the maze, and as he gets closer, the entity slowly starts to transition him, everything becomes black, and jack starts to heat up, then the darkness fades and he hears some generators being worked on close by, followed by murmuring of survivors, then to remember what the past caretaker told him, and he begins to chase
I think that The Caretaker should say the "Here's Johnny!" line when he finds a survivor inside a locker, instead of him saying it when he breaks down a door.
Players playing him would just go around the map breaking doors, and not only this, but the survivor will probably not be there most of the times where he breaks down the doors, so they won't experience it. If he says it while opening a locker with a survivor inside it, the survivor will be there to experience it. It will be quite awkward to hear him say "Here's Johnny!", "Here's Johnny!", "Here's Johnny!", again and again when breaking doors.
In relation to his breaking of doors, a perk of his could be something with "Breaking down doors fills up your power gauge", whatever his power may be. The perk could be named "Here's Johnny!". With this, the door breaking animation should be longer for it to be more fair, considering that it's to his advantage, and that it fills up his power gauge, and therefore, with the duration being longer, the devs can make the door breaking animation similar to the scene of Jack Torrance breaking down the bathroom door in the movie.
So, The Caretaker will break down doors in the game to fill up the power gauge faster (or maybe even filling it up alone, I don't know). That is one of my thoughts on The Caretaker in Dead by Daylight.

What I really like about this is when you get into the chase you can hear echoes. Like if you were in a HOTEL and could hear voices or music in the distance, but it still keeps this eerie music
Perk idea:here's Jonny! When you break a pallet every survivor within a certain radius around you screams and aren't able to use anything like a flashlight
This is my new favorite of yours. You got the strings on point! I also love how you can kind of hear ballroom music in the chase portion, which for those who do not know references a scene where the ghostly hotel starts messing with the Torrance family, most notably Jack. The once isolated ballroom appears to have become a lively party room with many guests and the butler who convinces Jack to kill his family. Keep up the good work, man.
I also had a funny idea that there could be Doomslayer chase music, and while not horror he has terrified a lot of people in his games.
Omg this is amazing. The 8 meters and chase music gave me creeps with the horns and the drums. Also the instruments were used in the movie soundtrack so it makes sense. They better ad this to the game it’s scary.

(This is my first time making a killer idea so don't flame me please):
"The Caretaker" (The weapon would be a fire axe of course).
Power #1: "All Work"- Activate the power to accentuate the visual brightness of scratch marks by 100%. When walking on / next to scratch marks, the aura of the survivor creating them is revealed to you and you move 15% faster. A 30 second cooldown is initiated whenever you stray too far from the marks. (This could make the killer particularly beginner friendly, as I personally struggled to find stealthier survivors in my early games).
Power #2: "No Play"- When a survivor is detected within a 12 meter radius using "All Work", activate this secondary power to gain the undetectable status effect, also crouching slightly. (This could lead to interesting mind-games and make some safe pallets difficult to use with higher walls, similar to the pig's crouch but without a wind-up).
Perks:
"Midnight, the Stars and You."- Hooking a survivor and moving 32 meters away shall cause their sacrifice to occur 30/40/50% faster.
"Hex: Here's Johnny!"- You start with 3 tokens. Destroying a dropped pallet outside of a chase shall reveal the aura of the survivor that dropped it for 2/3/4 seconds, using up a token.
"Little Pigs!"- Destroying/damaging a breakable wall, pallet or generator shall cause all survivors within a 8/12/16 meter radius to scream and gain the Hindered status effect for 5 seconds.
Some addons would probably involve bonuses for destroying pallets / walls / generators because that's what Jack Torrence is largely known for in the movie. Maybe an ultra rare addon might even allow him to physically swing and hit walls / gens / pallets to destroy/damage them.
I'm not too sure about survivors (as Danny is too young) so maybe Wendy from the movie?
The map could definitely be The Overlook, and having an outdoor and an indoor section (as someone before me said) would be awesome.

*This has to happen, this has to become real; even if it takes all work & no play! The game has always needed Jack Torrance to axe down a few doors & to serve an Entity after the Overlook Hotel. He needs a "Here's🚪Johnny!" takedown or perk that lets his face peek through uncut doors & quickly bust them down after. His charms could be the typewriter,📃 a filled shot glass🥃, Overlook Key🗝 & the ball🔴he throws. Give him a spooky alternative 'Frozen Jack' outfit also!*

This chase music is so on theme that if dbd did bring jack Torrence to the game his chase music and terror radius would never be able to compare to this

I also imagine a skin that has the suit and bow tie that Jack Torrance has on, on the picture in the very end of The Shining.
Gotta love the use of the Dies Irae in both the shining theme and in the dbd theme.

Scourge Hook: Do Not Disturb. 2/3/4 hooks will spawn around the map. Any survivors hooked on them will have their auras hidden to any survivors outside 24 meters
in my opinion i think "Midnight The Stars and you" being in this signifies the hotels control over jack while the distortion shows the entitys power over him.
Perk idea: little pigs, little pigs: he can take down any barriers in one swing of an axe, and also break 2 lockers every match.
They need to be “corrected”: while targeting one survivor you gain a slight boots in speed and the targeted survivor is highlighted when doing a generator.
No need to rub it in: after being blinded three times you move slower, but if you hit a survivor you gain more speed and faster swing speed.
I think maybe a survivor for this potential dlc could be Andy as a grown up.
Perk idea:
Dr sleep: “Survivors in your presence do not fear death anymore.”
When an injured survivor is within 5 meters of you, they do not make grunts anymore grunts, they leave less scratch marks when running and great skill checks grow bigger.
Imagine he grabs you from the locker and says “Hereeee Johnny!!!”

Killer: The maniac/Writer/Father/Caretaker
Weapon: Axe or croquet mallet
Just Imagine some event items like a bat where you hit the killer and it stuns them for a period of time like the Chinese firecrackers

I would love to see a My Bloody Valentine chase music because I haven’t seen any and the killer and movie are an underrated classic. He could be called The Miner.
I was thinking maybe a candy man dlc because the movie is coming out soon or somthn like that. I’d be cool. Also penny wise would also be really cool. I still don’t know what to think about springtrap in DBD. But candy man would probably be a cooler dlc than it.

Perk : unleashing” the old ghosts of the Overlook, ghosts who followed him into the world and who he spent his life trapping into mental “boxes.” can be unleashed to chase after a survivor until they have been hit once. (Kinda like the witches perk where crows tackle you but you can’t repel them it’s a deadly hit)
Perk Idea: When the killer breaks pallets and doors, all survivors within the terror radius scream and reveal their locations and become exposed( and the killer shouts "Here's johnny" maybe)
Oh dis shid sweet I enjoy how you implemented the original theme in the music. For an idea of a killer that probably won't get in but I have hopes for is The Thing from 1982's film The Thing.
"The Writer", "The Father" c'mon he should be called "The Caretaker" as that's the reason he went insane in the first place. I think the Overlook Hotel maps would be cool as shit tho, like a mixture of inside only, passing between inside the hotel and outside, and one dedicated to the hedge maze.

Chapter or not this is an amazing chase theme. Especially when hes in a 24 meter radius because it reminds me alot of the theme.
When Jack breaks doors he has to say his line "Here's Johnny!"
Imagine his wall break animation! Also I've always thought that the DbD theme had some inspiration from Dios Ire (Forgot the spelling) a.k.a Day of Wrath which is the Christian funeral song which was used for the theme of The Shining. The movies opening theme literally means death.
The menu music already sounds super similar to the shining, I think there’s a lot of potential if they Remix it

Also I'm 'bout to be like the only person hoping for a Black Christmas (1974, not any of those new movies cause theyre trash) killer. Like c'mon, we got Billy Lenz "The Moaner" as the killer, and Jess as the survivor, who's fates are both undetermined at the end of the movie.
The map could be a modified snowy/christmas version of Haddonfield and it would be perfect.
