Not fully agreed. Karma and destiny or fate are like two surfaces of a single coin one without another is meaningless. There are people who do kerna but don't succeed and man is the slave of circumstances, circumstances are like clouds gathering and bursting. Suppose we walk along side the road with good kerna but a vehicle from behind crushed us , can we blame our kerma? Can kerma foil it never.
When a man kills a tiger its a sport but when a tiger kills a man its misfortune
