    I went hunting with 3 fellas and 2 were brothers. I went with one brother, and 1 went with the other guy. After a hour or so, we heard something coming through a thick brush. He brought his riffle up and he was going to just start firing. Something told me this is not a moose or deer and I said no. I made him ease down the riffle, with my hand on the barrel. A few seconds later, his brother came through the brush, followed by his pal. I'm so glad my military training kicked in, cause it Would have been horrible. My veteran experience made me need to identify a target, but those guys weren't as disciplined. I left and never went with them again. He was aiming at his brother 15/20ft away, and, he was going to shoot. Couldn't and still can't believe that. Identify your targets, and wear some orange.

    • @kernjames
      @kernjames 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I was taught to know your target when I was 11 or 12 out on the farm. Maybe my Uncle that had been in the Army had told my Dad and my other Uncle to "know your target". I am amazed at how stuff like that isn't taught to youngsters today. I grew up in the 60s and it was a different world back then.

    Cam, it's truly awesome that you would bring this young man's story to life. So many times it's hard for young people to get support for their creative endeavors. These first few pushes to make something special are not always easy, and just a few off putting words can cause someone to stop what it is that they love. You are to be commended for actually caring about the future.

    I love listening to your stories, and like to read the comments below!! The other evening I was sitting out on my back patio, when I heard something in the woods, which are about 80 feet from where I was sitting. I thought to myself, " Oh Lord No"", I only enjoy reading about BIGFOOT, I don't want to have Any type of encounter!! Well, about the time I took a sip of my adult beverage, there came a scream like a woman was being hurt, in the area I heard the noise After almost choking to death, I composed myself and just about tore the door off the back of my house getting in. I ran to the bedroom facing the noise, and watched and listened. After a while I saw the tall grass moving and out pops a Small Little red Fox!! I seriously can't imagine being in the woods and hearing just the noise this little fox had made, must less an actual Bigfoot, lol!!

    Awesome talented writers, I enjoyed the stories. Also enjoyed the music at the beginning as well as the background video pictures. One of them reminds me of a hiking trail below Paradise Inn at Mt Rainier National Park where we experienced tree knocking, ten years ago. It was a place of great natural beauty. You had the smell of pine mixed with Lupine and fresh mountain air, simply an amazing day. Love this show.

    Cam, nothing wrong with Good Fiction Stories! Especially when it involves young people testing their talents. Young people tend to believe what they have been told by friends, adults. Giving them freedom to stumble, fall, run, play in the mud, write stories their imagination takes them too is freeing them to fall, fail, or succeed. Think where we would be without Lucas, and Roddenberry, and their view of the future. Kudos to Ms Renee Ragland and her band of aspiring writers!

    Ms. Renee, you have done your job well, these are great stories, and very well written! I loved the stories and Cam has created an outlet for your students to send their stories. I've always thought, if you can make learning fun, you have found your tool, they will scarf up your academic food, rather than forced down them. I so wish that school could be fun, like games of some sort, where the students were motivated to win. You, Renee, are a superb teacher.

    to "squatch" any negative comments, perhaps you could label the story as fiction or non fiction on the title screen - that way the folks who don't want to read the fiction are free to pass on by and there isn't any confusion.

    Kinda reminds me of a story about hunting. I live in Ohio. I have Amish all around me. I know of a family, ( Amish ) that went to Canada deer hunting. A boy of 12 or 14yrs old was walking by himself and got in-between some cubs and their mother. She changed him, and he had to put her down. I could not imagine being in a situation like that being 12-14yrs old. But the boys did make it home. Thanks again for the video. Take care.
