You do know pipe is round, right? 🤪
Never knew beeswax was flammable! Learn something new every day!
Got my daisy blanks in from the May 28th giveaway, thanks Roy and Jessica! Now to figure out how to make them pretty.
You have a video on that?

She's moving around a bit, needs some anchors, ever heard of a deadleg? A log, with a chain wrapped around it buried about 4'-6' under the ground with the end of the chain sticking out for some serious anchoring.
And I think I would use a brush for the beeswax, keeping the wax in a can and melting it before applying with the brush. Probably a soft brass brush would work and leave that brassy coating to boot🤔

can a person make these using a vise if they don't have a fly wheel?

  • @stanervin6108

Learned long ago to wax blacken over an aluminum pie pan. After awhile you'll have enough built up in the pan to melt and pour another block of beeswax.
    Just a tip. 🐝

What would happen if you quench half and then press it?
Maybe find a way to put a twist on it or something...lol.
As always I enjoy your work and equally enjoy your presentation.
You dumb it down so someone like me understands....lol

These turned out well Roy, better than I thought. How about attaching all three to a metal base? Maybe even include a match-holder of some sort. I didn't realise that beeswax was quite so flammable.🔥 😁
    Cheers for now,
    Dougie.

As you sealed the bottom of the box I wonder if you could pour the wax directly in there with a wick? Might look fancy having the candle form in the box?

Watching that first vid was thinking “uhhh can it do more it didn’t look like a lot of power at first” lol glad it’s got some power for doing neat things like this

    it's not 72 mm diameter, i think its a ~ 40 mm tubing with a lenght of 150 / 200 mm
    only a small mistake

Wouldn't a 20 ton hydraulic press do the same thing without getting whacked in the head?

  • @messylaura
    @messylaura 3 ปีที่แล้ว

not bad, i'll give you a cool sheet metal trick for decorative work, create a mig weld puddle then disconnect the earth from the work piece while still feeding the wire, you get the mig wire push through the weld straight out the other side of the metal.

any time I use an angle grinder on a piece that is not crushed in a vice, I get a new hole in the ceiling, or wall, or... I gotta learn to feather that grinder.

    Wire wheeling while hot .......??
This is WHY I watch your shows Roy! I would never have thought about that. I always forget to think outside of the box and beyond the schematics and measurements. You always have something that broadens my thinking,
thank you again for your knowledge!!
