The main reason for this intense rivalry is because how our country people think and its because polticial history has been reason.We all know the 1947 partition and how there was religious agitation.This religious agitation is even seen today as India and Pakistan match is often portrayed as Muslims vs Hindus and Sikhs battling against each other.Its like many players from both sides have their ancestory across the borders.Imran khan ancestory was from jalandhari while Kapil dev ancestory wad from Sahiwal.This creates more agitation to fight in sports
