Nice little scenic trip. Hopefully the rail trail at the Vasseux Lake nature reserve will someday go through. The BC Rails to Trails society is on it I believe. 🤙🍁
I understand it is a sensitive wildlife area but I agree it would be great to incorporate that into the existing trail. Diverting to the highway seems unacceptable.
Thanks for sharing. I’m not sure you mentioned what happened to your bike at the south end of Vasseaux Lake. Did you have to back track and go on the highway??
I really hope the trail on the west side of Vaseux Lake (namely fixing the bridge at the south end). This would substantially reduce the hwy3 travel required.

@@LifeIsAdventureChannel we were planning on taking more of this trail, but some of the locals said that sections had been washed out and it would be a difficult ride through, so that forced us to the highway. Yet, your video shows that is was managible and beautiful!
Amazing video! Thank you for sharing the beauty of this trail. Looks like it might be a multi-day bike trip. Just curious how many hours it takes from end to end?
Thanks Brian. It's not possible to ride end to end as some sections are not developed but if you connect the developed sections with riding on the highway, it is not difficult to do in a day (approx 60km). I suggest riding around Skaha Lake for a daytrip or the international hike and bike trail.
Hi, We would like to do the KVR from Hope. I'm wondering if you have a good way to get from Vancouver Airport to Hope? Cycling this section seems to be a bit of a boring strech.
The KVR from hope to Princeton is closed. many sections completely impassable due to flooding damage. I just got this msg from Trails BC team: Hi Ian, The route from Princeton to Hope is still not doable. BC Parks haven’t even open the Othello Tunnels, the Trans Mountain Pipeline makes some part impassible, the Coquihalla Canyon is still impassible because of slides, the bridges are out between Brookemere and Brodie, the slides are impassible between Juliet and Brodie where we are planning to build a new trail and do repairs up to Brookemere. Its possible to use the service road from Princeton but head towards Merritt then you can follow the Coquihalla Hwy to Hope.
Ive studied this. Brooksmere is the best place to start unless you like riding up the Coquihalla highway. Now the KVR from there going to Princeton is messed up from that big storm a while ago but passable I think.

Good job of capturing what the old Osoyoos Sub looks like now, much appreciated !
It would be awesome if that section of the trail was fixed up and maintained like the section along Kal Lake
Please also note at time stamp @10:24 the left side of the road was actually the KVR
Thanks for sharing your adventure! Hoping to do a similar route in a couple months
Thanks for the ride. Also really appreciate that real time map!
Thanks!
Nice video! Looks like a nice little adventure! I love riding my gravel bike in the Okanagan!
So many great trails - I just need more time to ride them all !
Nice video! I love riding in the Okanagan and have enjoyed this particular ride!
It would be great if the complete Penticton to Osoyoos trail was developed. Such a gem!

Very well done! I was always curious of this subdivision
Beautiful as always....
Nice video...we've ridden from Trout Creek trestle to OK Falls, so a lot of this was familiar.
The whole trail to Osoyoos has potential to be a great trail. Maybe some day...
Thanks for this in depth tour. I tried doing this a couple years ago but kept getting stuck around broken up sections so I gave up.
No doubt! There were some sections that took quite a bit of exploring / bushwhacking to figure out a way through!
Awesome adventure! Thanks for sharing.
you are BC adventure man
love your videos super dad

Looks like a rather difficult ride, but very rewarding. We took some of the trail, but for the most part stayed on hyw 3.

Actually a fairly tough ride!
What bike were you using?
It's a hybrid commuter bike - giant roam. Several years old now.

No idea on this one sorry. Agreed, biking from Vancouver to Hope looks boring (no bike trail, just along streets/highway)
@@LifeIsAdventureChannel Thanks for your help, much apreciated. I was looking to use the train from Vancouver to Katz. Is this still an option?

Kal Eden. like the garden of Eden.
Now I know... so embarrassing.
The old hotel in Kal Eden is the proper pronunciation.
Just nit picky, but its a Kal-E-Den and Vah-Saw Lake
Haha thanks! I've been saying them wrong for years!
Pronounced “Vaso” lake
Vaseux Lake pronounced Vas O lake
Hey i see my house
You must live in a picturesque spot!!

Yes unfortunately it’s the only way at the moment!
