Henny Tha Bizness Henny my man, I have learned a TON watching your vids! My setup looks almost like yours except for my MPC Live as one part of the main hub. I’m gonna start my TH-cam channel soon and would ask for any advice you can give? I can’t afford the cameras yet but hopefully soon. Thanks again!
This channel feels as important to the culture as Just Blaze documenting his journey through the TI vs TIP days....hope someone archives this channel if something ever happens to it.
Man!! I truly appreciate those words. And yeah I would hate to see something happen to it. I’m definitely archiving everything I do as well! Appreciate it.
Stay dropping jewels. Man I hope u never stop making videos. Klevgrand videos. I know there Apps are simple but I like how u show how u apply the Apps to ur music. U stay on all topics related to what’s needed to make it in the game. Thanks again yo
Knowledge right there Henny! File management is so important for creating a workflow that works FOR you. Gotta be efficient and can see that you got your workflow locked down
Your channel has been so helpful and convinced me to use an iPad for on the go editing. Finding and stating the solution for Sony cameras with the SD video transfer was super helpful. I couldn’t seem to find anyone else that gave me a clear answer. Thank you and keep up the good work with the videos.
ALAC - Apple Lossless Audio Codec. Apple's version of FLAC. Supported natively in iTunes and used in AirPlay audio streaming. Initially proprietary but open sourced and royalty free since 2011.
I appreciate the lesson, my dude! This is great information for those who had no idea of how to utilize their iPads in such a manner. You already know what it is..." and I'm out!!!"
Awesome stuff!! I'm an Imac and Chromebook user, but considering an Ipad Pro for speed, photo and video editing, and replacing my slow Chromebook. Not a fan of being tied to one chair like at my IMac, so considering options. Cloud, local storage, wireless HDD, etc. Choices. Thanks for the great info and insight!
Henny - You are the best. I have been binging your videos ... Would you consider doing a video on how you create or document your ideas? Notes? Using the Apple Pencil? Thumb type? Etc...
Thanks for everything you’re doing Henny! You’ve solved a bunch of problems that I was having before I found your channel and it has been borderline life changing :) Mad love and respect
Peace Henny...appreciate all you do for the ios community...i recently transformed ios production, this is exactly what I needed and wondered if you can do an in depth tutorial of Audio bus...functionality...I am big on sound design and multi layering instruments on the PC and wanted to take full advantage of this powerful app....Respect....
I love AudioShare. I also use an app called GoodReader. I will say that AudioShare wins for music because of the recording etc. But Good reader wins for everything else. I wish I never would have found good reader because I would just have a simple life using only AudioShare. If you try it you will see what I mean.i wish other apps would get off the Audiocopy bandwagon and go to AudioShare. Audiocopy is a tool for retronyms app, not an all apps tool like AudioShare, Thanks for another great video and continue having fun.
I feel the same way about AudioCopy. I remember using Goodreader awhile back but haven’t checked in on it in some time. I’ll have to see how things have changed lol. Thanks for the update!
iOS devices have the best, latest and greatest pro music applications. From BeatMaker to Cubasis, FL Studio to Korg Gadget, many great drum machines and groove boxes, mesmerizing synths and all those AUv3 plug-in effects and a lot more. But if you own one or a couple of these apps, if you don’t own AudioShare you’re missing something essential. I love AudioShare. Great management and tools and it’s cheap! Best, Emiel.
I really enjoy your channel! Lots of great advice and ideas. I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of some great sounding, small, portable studio monitors that I could use with my iPad? Thanks!
Hey, can I use a lighting to usb 3 camera adapter to plug in a western digital hd and then use a file reader to transfer and read files between my iPad Pro 2018 and the external he? If so, what app would do this best?
How does your hood stay on like that? Love your work, you’ve really inspired me to use iOS to it’s full potential. I’ve really gone mobile with my video, and you have really helped me figure out how to do it. I have the original 12.9” iPad Pro with Apple Pencil, which I had been using for my work instead of laptop but not for video. I’m hoping to drop Adobe at some point, but After Effects is such a killer app for me... I’d love to hear more ideas from you on work around for things you can do in AE. Have you come across the Concepts app? I love this app for artwork in vector format, and for its export capability. It works beautifully with Affinity Photo and Designer. Best of luck and keep it up!
I haven’t heard of the Concept’s app, I’ll have to check that out. As far as AE, there really is no comparison on mobile yet, so I took all my needed AE files and exported them for my device 👍🏼
Henny, did you have any problems migrating to the new iPad Pro regarding accessories made with lighting plugs like that Shure mic? For example, can I use the same mic on both my iPhone 7 (lightning) and the new iPad Pro (usb-c)?
I did run into those issues. I havent really used my shure mic (mv88) with my new iPad at all since I haven’t found an adapter to make it work yet. I do still use it with my iPhone X though. I know shure has updated the mic now and you can use it with usb c but it’s not as compact
Thanks I appreciate you getting back to me a lot of people don't know this but beatmaker 3 can be mapped to the akai mpc fly awesome setup that's what I'm using thanks again henny
Can you transfer raw photos and 4k videos using the ravpower? Seems like a cheap solution for moving in and out some files from an external drive and an ipad.
I believe so! I like to use jpgs a lot ( was shooting Fuji for stills for awhile) but I don’t think you’ll have a problem with that. 4K video as long as it’s a codec the iPad can read 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Whats up Henny, appreciate all the bizness suggestions! Glad I found your channel! With your guidance I'm moving from a monsterous desktop setup to working soley on my iPad pro, iPhone, zoom h6 and completely remaining mobile. Problem being mobile is file management and keeping track of all of my photos, videos and sound effects as well as recorded and downloaded audio clips. What do you recommend for a cataloging these files so I can find them again in the future via keyword or such.
Good morning on this Hot July morning, I actually prefer using the app that came with my Sandisk iXpand sucking into my iPadPro the loops and sounds I’ll need for a project and leaving the rest on my iXpand. Helps keep from running out of space on it. Next iPadPro I’ll be buying Max storage capacity . Did a 31 minute Paranormal Documentary and space got TIGHT!
Great videos Henny, for real. I have a question: once you backup files on the usb drive, there’s a way to move that file on a hard drive by the rav hub?
You have to get an off brand card reader, something like the ravpower I used in this video to get the files on to the iPad via the app that the reader uses. Then you can export bro whatever other app you want to use the audio in 👌🏼... hope that helps
Henny, what would you say is the best, fastest way of getting your work onto a Windows 10 machine (FL Studio, Studio One, Cubase) from an iPad for further processing ? Subbed !!
Henny Tha Bizness thanks! Been thinking about buying it just as a more mobile way to get my ideas out while otg. Currently rocking with my 15" Mac pro and Xkey air. It's good but not always the most comfortable. Love what you're doing. Thanks for the inspiration 🙏🏾💪🏾
Hey man! Love your videos! I have a question, do you think you can produce the same quality song on your iPad as you could with the desktop version Daw? I would love to move to strictly iPad Pro. I have cubase\cubasis etc. Just curious if I am going down a rabbit hole I shouldn’t be going down. Thanks for any help!
Appreciate the information bro. Your video producing Sherane is the reason I bought the apogee one. Question about Beatmaker 3... is it possible to use effectrix iOS version on individual pads. For example, if I brought A few instances of Korg Gadget in, using the pads as separate midi devices... Could I use effectrix for one of those instances? I’m trying to see how dynamic I can be on the iPad Pro
Henny Tha Bizness Roger that. How about any effects plugin in general? Can they be placed to individual pads rather than the whole overall track. Pardon the questions, I’m extremely interested in this app, and I’ve seen you use it the most dynamically
Hey Henny 👋🏻! Have you ever considered the WD My passport pro wireless HD with as card reading? It’s directly integrated with LumaFusion and FilmicPro? Just unsure what to buy: the ravpower, the gnarbox 2.0 (too pricey) or the Wd 2TB. Any clues or insights form you boy?
I’m glad you just turned me on to that Rav but did you know that WD (Western Digital) makes a wireless hard drive you can now use with iOS? $150 I’m definitely trying that first 1tb
Henny Tha Bizness that’s what’s up!!!! Did you see the centrance interface at NAMM this year?!?!?! I’m waiting on that like a kid waiting for Christmas!
Your videos are really inspiring - you’re the Peter McKinnon of beatmaking on iOS devices and quality videos as well👏🏽 big ups - I instantly subscribed
Only finished watching now... do you still use the RavPower device. 512 is a bit expensive for me but I’m pretty much moving over to LumaFusion so do you think I should just save and go for the new 512 iPad Pro, or will I get away with the 256? My gut says save...
But what about just using the WiFi from the Sony camera and using the Sony app to transfer the files? That’s how I do it to my phone wouldn’t it be the same on an iPad since they both run IOS?
I'm more concerned for the Files app having the ability to open/download and save files (from an email or a website), moving files to & from various sources or within the device, etc. And does it fully support not just Google Drive but other known third-party apps such as Microsoft's OneDrive or Documents? Or would these features be better on an Android tablet such the Galaxy Tab S3/S4or Chromebook?
Henny I enjoy your videos a lot I just have one question about cubasis because I'm using BeatMaker 2 and 3 BeatMaker 3 there's no midi export can I use cubasis cuz I don't have it yet I want to actually pick it up if it will export the midi and I'll use it that way so I can get back into maschine studio with it or my mk3
Henny, first up: new subscriber here, great videos. Thank you. I know you moved up to the WD my Passport Wireless, but I’m still considering the Ravpower bc I already have my footage on Seagate hard drives. The Ravpower website says it won’t work with Mac formatted drives. Have you had any trouble with this? If so, I’ll probably just man up and get the WD. Thanks for your time!
it's possible to copy files from filmic pro on iphone using ravpower & HDD and after copy this files to luma fusion directly?without loosing size(MB) during transfert?
Can you use hootoo to save your beat maker 2 and 3 compositions? Ive lost a lot of music i created thinking i was able to retrieve them through the iCloud. Let me know thank you.
Henny Tha Bizness I saved and backed up my files on my iOS devices (iPhone 6 and IPad Air 2) supposedly they were backed up because I’ve used over 30 GB on my devices. I tried retrieving through the icloud but the 30 GB are not there.
Hey, I want to really incorporate music into my vlogs. I have instrumentals, but like actual music .any apps to get free downloads, or should I just purchase from iTunes
Documents is a great app. I still have an iPad 2 that I just use for the Documents app (I keep all my manuals and documents on it). Apple kind of dropped the ball not having something like it from the jump. They’re slowly making the native Files app into it
After using that device for awhile, I still think using the micro usb cord and the camera connection kit is still the best way to transport my Sony files ... FYI
Glad to support you brother. IOS Ana’s finally made my dreams come true making it possible to “mobile edit”. I last used “Cute Cut” but “LumaFusion” is awesome. After about 20 vids of your I subscribed. Be sure to look out for me in the near future and I hope we may work together on an IOS based project. Thanks for being awesome!
Damn! Henn you provide so much Useable content for your subscribers....Dope. I feel you. I always learning the new ways in which technology had pressed fwd. killer. As a film maker I’m loving the journey. Thanks again doc!
Henny Tha Bizness thank you for taking the time to reply! I've actually seen them and I don't quite remember a specific app you talked about to record music
I'd be interested to know how (if ?) you sample from vinyl into your iPad, btw? I'm not sure if any USB interface would work with an adapter? Not sure about installers being available or not for iOS, etc. That's probably the only thing that would keep me in a more standard studio setup for beatmaking.
I don't mind using a semi-crappy audio interface for monitoring on headphones while sketching things on the iPad, but I'd like to make sure that I get the best quality possible on the way in when sampling.
Great Video. Before I purchase AudioShare, I would like to ask if you can convert a video file into music files like mp3 or wav. I am downloading youtube videos which has free royalty music using document app. I want to convert the video into mp3 to use it in Luma Fusion. Is this possible?
What I would suggest is just putting the TH-cam music video file into one of the audio fields in LF. It will automatically change it to just audio 👍🏼 ... that what I do. No converting necessary!
Yeah I would say that iPad might not be able to get as much done as you would like. Technology advances so much that the older hardware had a hard time keeping up with it. Hopefully you’ll be able to try out a few apps that can work for you!
On your suggestion got the RAV power , Hootoo and and (The wrong) Lacie HD gotta get the one that’s got the SD card reader in it( it cost a little more but still ( Henny voice: “DOPE AS F**$#k” lol 😝 ........ can you tell I’m. a Fan? Lol
Henny Tha Bizness Thank you! Do you find that downloading media, like videos or photos, takes a while on your iPad? I got a dongle for my SD card, based on a video I saw of yours. I have a Sony a7rIII. It was working with the import but pretty slow it felt like.
Henny, How in God’s name do I get wav audio from a field recorder to the new Pro. How can something claim pro when you can’t do he most basic function like transferring audio file from a recorder.
@@HennyThaBizness So in my case I'd have to take the field recorder audio files and transfer them to a computer, then transfer them to a WD drive, then transfer them from the drive to the iPad? That's my point. Apple goes on about creatives and Pro and this ipad can't do a simple function like recognize a field recorder and transfer files from it. Before I purchased I never thought it wouldn't be able to do such a basic primary task.
Stashy I think Henny is using the WD wireless, which has a built in card reader, so no computer step necessary. I believe the Ravpower device can move wav files, but I’ve never tried it before, sorry.
found a slightly cheaper price vs the rav power: $25 at bestbuy: Kingston - MobileLite G3 5,400 mAh Portable Charger for Most Lightning and USB-Enabled Devices
One last thought, if you haven’t checked out the recently dropped AudioKit Synth One app for IOS GO NOW AND GET IT!!! Amazing Open source Synth, no in app purchases, no ads just an amazing Synth! IPad only btw
THANK Y’ALL FOR 10k SUBS 🙏🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼 .. I TRULY AM GRATEFUL FOR ALL THE SUPPORT!!!!
Congrats, my dude!!!
What’s the best way to contact you ?

Hi Henny, I want to connect flash drive directly to iPad and import media to Luma Fusion to edit my work... which is the best one you reckon?
Amazing work! Wondering big you still even use a laptop or desktop... I sometimes feel strange that my MBP was double the cost and I use it less....
This channel feels as important to the culture as Just Blaze documenting his journey through the TI vs TIP days....hope someone archives this channel if something ever happens to it.

Nuts and bolts man! Nuts and bolts. You are so appreciated by me and some other creatives I know that follow you! Keep bringing it!
Will do! Thanks for your continued support!!

Where do you get your sound fx from? Is there a website I can save them?
I’ve used a site called soundbible.com and have also had fx I’ve collected over the years
iOS devices have the best, latest and greatest pro music applications. Thanks man 👍 So on those thumb drives .. can you save Cubasis and Auria projects on them?
I believe so yes. I don’t think you can run your sessions from the drive though, you’ll be able to save and backup
I really enjoy your channel! Lots of great advice and ideas. I was wondering if you could point me in the direction of some great sounding, small, portable studio monitors that I could use with my iPad? Thanks!
The IK Multimedia iLouds are my favorite are the moment. Great price point w great sound! Definitely check them out!
Henny Tha Bizness Thanks for the reply! I will definitely check them out.
Ay Big Henn what orange speaker is that? That’s kinda dope right there.
Just subbed to you channel and hit the notifcations button. Can't begin to tell you how much help you've been with iPad workflows. Thank you!
Thank you for the sub and thank you for the feedback!
Dope! Didn’t know that!
All my audio files I use AudioShare. All my other files I use the Documents app. Hope that helps
now that was really helpful, thank you
Good morning on this Hot July morning, I actually prefer using the app that came with my Sandisk iXpand sucking into my iPadPro the loops and sounds I’ll need for a project and leaving the rest on my iXpand. Helps keep from running out of space on it. Next iPadPro I’ll be buying Max storage capacity . Did a 31 minute Paranormal Documentary and space got TIGHT!
I feel you. That’s how I felt on my first iPad Pro... I definitely maxed out the 2nd time around!
👏🏻👏🏻 another great video, i have learnt so much about using my IPad for media creation since finding your channel. Keep up the great work👍🏻
Right on! I’m glad these videos are helping. I appreciate the support
Great videos Henny, for real. I have a question: once you backup files on the usb drive, there’s a way to move that file on a hard drive by the rav hub?
Your videos are super helpful! I also love your energy!
Appreciate the support!
Bro Love your videos! Let me ask you something. How can you get an audio file from an SD card (zoom h4n) to an iPad without using a laptop?
You have to get an off brand card reader, something like the ravpower I used in this video to get the files on to the iPad via the app that the reader uses. Then you can export bro whatever other app you want to use the audio in 👌🏼... hope that helps
I think I love you...
Henny, what would you say is the best, fastest way of getting your work onto a Windows 10 machine (FL Studio, Studio One, Cubase) from an iPad for further processing ?
Subbed !!
I would say using a lightning to usb flash drive like this one: kit.com/hennythabizness/my-tech-survival-kit/hootoo-iphone-ipad-i
That’s how I do it!
Subscribed....Awesome content bro! Keep these iPad videos coming....
Thanks for the sub! I appreciate it
Henny what do you think about the new iPad 2018? Do you think it would be sufficient enough for pro production?
I do! It’s quite powerful in its own right. It doesn’t have as much RAM as a pro version but def could still get the job done!

Henny Tha Bizness that’s what’s up!!!! Did you see the centrance interface at NAMM this year?!?!?! I’m waiting on that like a kid waiting for Christmas!
Henny Tha Bizness that gnarbox 2.0 looks dope I do wedding photography also and that looks like where it’s at!!!!! Another good turn on Bruh Bruh
INCREDIBLY USEFUL! Thanks...gotta watch this again and take notes.
Thank you
You're a life saver my dude!
Glad I could help 👌🏼
Your vids rock. New to this sport but eatin it up. Has anyone ever mentioned that you sound like Joseph Foreman? For true.

Yes you should be able to backup your entire Beatmaker 2/3 catalog to a HOOTOO device. I’ve never had issues with iCloud backups, what happened?
Henny Tha Bizness I saved and backed up my files on my iOS devices (iPhone 6 and IPad Air 2) supposedly they were backed up because I’ve used over 30 GB on my devices. I tried retrieving through the icloud but the 30 GB are not there.
Hey, I want to really incorporate music into my vlogs. I have instrumentals, but like actual music .any apps to get free downloads, or should I just purchase from iTunes
Great useful info Henny .......thanks!
I appreciate the support. Always!!
Documents is a great app. I still have an iPad 2 that I just use for the Documents app (I keep all my manuals and documents on it). Apple kind of dropped the ball not having something like it from the jump. They’re slowly making the native Files app into it
Wow thanks a lot Henn powerful info since I’m using an iPad Air 2 256
Always learn something from your vids man, great work !
Hey you told me to watch this lol very useful I ordered that race power thing lol thanks man
After using that device for awhile, I still think using the micro usb cord and the camera connection kit is still the best way to transport my Sony files ... FYI
Just wanted to update you just in case you want to cancel you order 👌🏼👍🏼
Henny Tha Bizness it was actually in my cart lol I guess I never ordered it, but I guess thats a good thing now lol thanks for the heads up
What's up Henny?
I notice you use the IPad Pro 10.5.... why not the bigger IPad Pro 12.9?
I originally had the 12.9 version and wanted to try and smaller form factor to be able to bring it even more places. It’s worked out tremendously!!
This is a must for my everyday music life. A must have. Peace Christo
aiff is an Apple interface format file Henn
Great job. Love watching your vids.
Thank you!!
This was very helpful thanks
Glad to support you brother. IOS Ana’s finally made my dreams come true making it possible to “mobile edit”. I last used “Cute Cut” but “LumaFusion” is awesome. After about 20 vids of your I subscribed. Be sure to look out for me in the near future and I hope we may work together on an IOS based project. Thanks for being awesome!
Damn! Henn you provide so much Useable content for your subscribers....Dope. I feel you. I always learning the new ways in which technology had pressed fwd. killer. As a film maker I’m loving the journey. Thanks again doc!
How can I get Traktor Dj to read my mp3 I down loaded to documents. I can’t share to Traktor DJ
Another dope video! Thanks man!
I appreciate you fam!
Maaan Henny, why you do that man? Why you show those cool gadgets ;-) RAV going straight to my Amazon shopping cart...
Haha my bad fam! Had to spread the good iOS gospel anytime I get the chance!
This really sounds like a must have Henn. I read the specs on Apple Store . This is tha Biznezz
Have you looked at Gnarbox?
Yes I’m looking into that now
thanks!
Thanx for all the support and how u present it ☺️👌👌👌👌👌🐝
As always, great stuff!
Thank you Henny, very helpful
Thank you for checking out the video!
That’s a “Crescendo” cymbal kool
What app do you to record music Henny? Very inspiring.
There are quite a few. Check a few of my other videos, I go in depth on all the apps I’m using. Thanks for watching
Henny Tha Bizness thank you for taking the time to reply! I've actually seen them and I don't quite remember a specific app you talked about to record music
If you have a usb mixer you can sample anything you plug into the mixer anything I say.
If the usb mixer is compatible with iOS then yes.
excellent video thank you for the information
Thanks for watching!
I have Luma Fusion and Luma F/X
Is that an iPad Pro 2 12.9?
iPad Pro 10.5
Why'd you pick the 10.5 over the 12.9 (if you don't mind my asking)?
Brilliant, thanks!
Thank you for watching!
Henny Tha Bizness Dang you just saved this dude six hours of his life trying to figure that out. I just subscribed👍🏼
Subscribed
Thanks for the sub!!
Thanks for the very helpful information and tips. 👍🏽
Just Dope Man. Thank you.
I have a iPad mini generation 1 my storage is only 16 g
Yeah I would say that iPad might not be able to get as much done as you would like. Technology advances so much that the older hardware had a hard time keeping up with it. Hopefully you’ll be able to try out a few apps that can work for you!
On your suggestion got the RAV power , Hootoo and and (The wrong) Lacie HD gotta get the one that’s got the SD card reader in it( it cost a little more but still ( Henny voice: “DOPE AS F**$#k” lol 😝 ........ can you tell I’m. a Fan? Lol
Can you download music from Epidemic Sound to the Audioshare?
Sure can! I use the documents app to download the files then share those files in a zip folder to Audioshare! Hope that helps 👍🏼
Henny Tha Bizness Thank you! Do you find that downloading media, like videos or photos, takes a while on your iPad? I got a dongle for my SD card, based on a video I saw of yours. I have a Sony a7rIII. It was working with the import but pretty slow it felt like.
Also, how is Documents different from the Apple Native “Files” app? Thanks!!
Henny, How in God’s name do I get wav audio from a field recorder to the new Pro. How can something claim pro when you can’t do he most basic function like transferring audio file from a recorder.
I use my WD Drive for importing audio files. It works perfectly fine
Let's get him to 10k Subs 👍👍👍
That’s love 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
found a slightly cheaper price vs the rav power: $25 at bestbuy: Kingston - MobileLite G3 5,400 mAh Portable Charger for Most Lightning and USB-Enabled Devices
Ok dope! Please let me know how that works out. I’m always looking for the best possible option ✊🏼
One last thought, if you haven’t checked out the recently dropped AudioKit Synth One app for IOS GO NOW AND GET IT!!! Amazing Open source Synth, no in app purchases, no ads just an amazing Synth! IPad only btw
Yeah I downloaded as soon as it was available... AMAZING APP 🚀
Love the Dark Tower sound
