      Anthony,
I'm sorry you feel this way. There are many folks who feel the same and struggle with what it all means. Let me first start by saying God does not hate you. There is nothing in this world that could make the God who made you, hate you.
I need to follow that up with the fact that no matter what we do apart from God is sin. One of the biggest arguments I hear from folks is that we were all "made" a particular way (i.e. some sort of sexual identity). Because of what the Bible says, I don't believe this is true. We were all made in the image of God and in the Bible, it tells us how we are made (male or female). I'm in no way passing judgement on you (or anyone else for that matter), but what we all need to understand is that if we live by any standard different than how God designed the world, we are in sin.
This does not mean I am hated or unlovable, it just means I need to understand what God's love REALLY means and how I can live in that. It starts with being able to admit where I have sinned, understand that Jesus sacrificed himself to take my punishment for that sin and believe that He did that for me. That's true love... That someone would sacrifice himself for another even though we hate/d Him.
If you would like to go deeper or discuss more, please don't hesitate to reach out any time.

Jesus came to save us from hell and from sin (Luke 5:32). We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). sin leads to hell but Jesus leads to Heaven because Jesus is the only way to Heaven (John 14:6, Romans 6:23), He's the only one true God, He's the only way we can be Saved. the bible (which is infallible and uncorruptible and never lies) says that Jesus came to save us, Jesus came and went to the cross to pay our sin debt full, He died and paid our sin debt in full, God rose Jesus on the third day, He conquered hell, sin, death, the world and He stumped on the devil's head. He broke the walls that kept us from coming to Him and having a relationship with Him. He did all that for us because He wants to save our souls and He wants to have a relationship with us (John 3:16, John 14:6, John 19:30, Romans 5). come to Jesus, believe and repent of your sins and God will forgive you and cleanse you and make you born again by His Holy Spirit (John 3:3-18). Heaven is eternal but know hell is eternal as well. don't die in your sins, don't die without Christ because if you die without Christ and die in your sins then hell awaits you and you'll never get out of it, only Jesus can save you from hell's grasp. believe and repent and God will save you!

This sermon is disastrous... "all of us must say no to certain sexual desires." REALLY? How about you say no so you give up on the only way that gives you intimacy. Comparing same sex attraction to other sexual desires that heterosexual people have is extremely selfish and does not have the minimum level of empathy. Yes heterosexual people can say no to some sexual desires but they can still have intimacy in sex... Homosexuals don't have that luxury. And please, don't say: Jesus says!

First, the analogy of marriage to eschatology is a bit esoteric. It’s fine to analogize human marriage to the Union between Christ and Church at the end of the current age/order of things since there is value in trying to convey the depth of Christ and the Church’s relationship. Regrettably however, the two are treated almost as synonymous rather than merely analogous, even leading to the deification of marriage. To be clear, there’s some value in using the analogy, but the two are not the same, and should therefore not be given equal weight. By extension, I’m not sure if there is much value in using the analogy as a foundation for arguing against same-sex (gay) human relationships/marriage vis-a-vis opposite-sex (straight) human relationships/marriages since straight marriage is not synonymous with the Union of Christ and Church; again, it’s just a useful analogy to get an idea across.
Second, the idea that Jesus’ was opining on homosexual relationships in Matthew 19 when discussing divorce vis-a-vis Genesis’ description of human relations has always seemed a bit strained and reaching to me. I mean, maybe Jesus would have landed where conservative ethicists (like Sam) argue, especially given how conservative His subculture was. Then again, there’s no way to be sure, especially given other weightier virtues such as love, as demonstrable by monogamous couples who give of themselves sacrificially to one another for a lifetime-which could include a same-sex couple. Notably, it was not beyond Jesus to shatter long-standing norms, even with respect to ontologies about human relations.
Admittedly, Sam does a beautiful job of crafting and presenting his arguments. Even so, the real value and efficacy of his arguments are realized insofar as they are the basis for his celibacy as a personal expression of faithfulness. This personal commitment provides greater justification for arguments that are not totally well founded given all the conjecture required and argumentation by analogy.
As a final thought, I have always thought that Sam’s personal testimony is likely most efficacious in personal relationships with others tilling similar ground-not before conservative audiences that are not really challenged by his own conservative ethic, other than a passing admonishment to take stock of their own proverbial crosses and be nicer to gay people. I’m not sure that these talks win the hearts and minds of gay people seeking love and affection as much as they affirm ethics that cultural conservatives are eager to espouse and even more eager to have someone like Sam promulgate as a sort of show pony, so to speak.

The devil lies to you making you think thoughts are your own, but test it, read your bible. God gave you an identity, in him is our identity. He said out side of marriage, the way marriage was intended by God, between a man and a woman. Just because someone knows the bible, does not mean they follow it truly. God loves us but he made it clear, sinners do not enter the kingdom of God. If we have not repented of our sin, he will not forgive us. God wants to see you in heaven. But if we reject what he said, where God cannot be with sin, how can we expect to be with him in heaven if we will fully disobey. He gave us free will, and I wish that my will is Gods will so that I can be with him in heaven. When we chose to follow Christ we choose to give up our will for his. We are NOT even able to say I follow Christ but I choose to sin will fully and ignore what he said, we cannot say I do Gods will, but don't. If I choose to shoot heroin for the rest of my life, but claim to follow Christ, am I really following Christ or am I following what I wanna do?

We are broken without a relationship with Jesus. We will have these these thoughts and possibly act on immorality. To bad mouth Jesus is bad mouthing the Lord. What he say is true. The bible says no one will come to the father except through him. These longings you feel are not necessarily from our selves. Jesus gets my will, we give our "true" self to God because HE DIED for *US*. Our identity is in him.

Being gay is not a choice.
It’s not something you can control (or should have to try to).
Jesus says in the bible that we don’t have full control over our thoughts.
Some modern Christian churches promote policing your own thoughts, which is very unhealthy.
I’m not saying if you have terrible thoughts you intend to act on that that is ok, im saying that Jesus knows there are intrusive thoughts we do not have control of, so promoting the idea we can and must control everything we think and feel, even to the point where you are meant to be able to control something as intangible as love, is ridiculous.
Jesus’ greatest power is love, don’t try and creat the narrative that it is polluted, because it is a gift from God.

    • @juangabriellopez4475
      @juangabriellopez4475 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

it is also sinful to desire to commit homosexual acts. Does this mean that same-sex attraction is a sin?, we must distinguish between active sin and the passive condition of being tempted. It is not a sin to be tempted. Jesus was tempted, yet He sinned not (Matthew 4:1; Hebrews 4:15). Eve was tempted in the garden, and she definitely found the forbidden fruit to be appealing, but it seems that she did not actually sin until she took the fruit and ate it (Genesis 3:6-7). A struggle with temptation may lead to sin, but the struggle is not a sin itself.
