I like that resistance to radiation is willpower rather than toughness; very thematic and Chernobyl-like. It doesn't matter how tough you, radiation is going to get you.
The desperate search for food, water, ammo, and batteries really ramps up the narrative tension.
I like the dice mechanism in Silver Bayonet, where the group shares re-rolls rather than having to track them for individual characters.
What make is that HMMWV model?
