It’s not surprising how many people have been misled by their pastors. I think the mistake we make is thinking pastors are marriage experts and superior beings. A lot of this pastors struggle to keep their own home happy but they say the guy is ok and we jump all in without caution. Let’s normalise visiting professional marriage counsellors before getting married. It’s not a waste of money, sometimes it opens your eye to things you never knew existed in your partner. This is a really sad story.
