Good to see you again mate, life does have a bad habit of getting in the way sometimes but just put out a video when you’ve got something to show and/or talk about and when in your in the right mood to do it. I’ve got two mates who both run old cars as daily’s, the one mate runs a 52 plate Pug 206 that he’s kept going through 5 MOT’s, it was a sub £500 car that many would have thrown away before now as it’s cost more than he paid for it to keep it on the road but as he does the work on it himself and just loves the car this is the reason it still exists. Nice to see an update video. Crazy to think that the channel is nearly 4 years old! Rustival looks like its going to be a great show, despite the poor weather. Hopefully, doing a few shows might bring your car mojo back a bit. I hope Lee is doing ok as well. Glad to hear the Focus is still going strong. Once the handbrake is sorted, it should fly through another MOT hopefully👍

Well, an old retired fart like me has bugger all else to do but watch cricket and TH-cam. I'll always watch your channel if only for a glimpse of an Allegro now and again. As for mojo, I even had my Focus ST in the garage for a service as I couldn't be arsed!!! so I get where you're coming from... mind you it was £400 so maybe I should have got of me bum. You have to do what is right for you and interests you. If you have had a break and still no interest then have a think about the channel and if you feel it has a future or not. If you decide the channel has no future and you decide to pull the plug and concentrate on your campervan channel then so be it. Have to say I will miss the Allegro and of course yourself but if it has come to the end of the road do what you feel is best. I'm only a viewer of TH-cam channels but i understand how you feel. I've 3 cars to play with and honestly this time of year is poo for working on them, even though you have a garage, it's so tight you'd have to be in the mood to work in there. When my friend comes over to tinker stuff just gets done so quickly 😊. You never know what's in people's minds and sometimes i don't see him for months. i am easily distracted and start something and end up doing something else and not finishing either 😂 The allegro is ready for the road whenever you like so that's nice to know. I sometimes just jump into my fiat and go for a spin after jump starting it.... i too am a bad owner and let the battery go flat 😮
Your wiper relay in the focus needs changing or swap it with the rear one,also if a focus isn't rotten it is worth fixing up. I hope to go to Rustival so may see you there!
It works on normal and all intermediate speeds just not flick/mist, I like playing see if I can stop it on full travel up or down. Say hi if you see me!
rick, re the focus, if she isn't rotten, and not too expensive to get thru it might be worth putting the money into it, mk1 focus are getting thin on the ground now, and you have to weigh up if you got another car what problems would you need to sort? Least with the focus, it has been reliable since you had it, so why now stick with it, rather than buy a car of unknown quality?

Remembering back when my parents was alive in my dads case up to 1988 and my mums in 1999 I would never take my cars to a car wash Id enjoy cleaning them myself. Well my actual excuse I live in a 3rd floor flat. And I get tired quickly. Last week for instance I had my car Astra Bertone 2.2 convertible booked in to have the rear box section replaced in stainless steel.. I really wasn't sure I was doing the right thing But it seems that garages or car parts providers don't stock Vauxhall exhausts and you can order the parts but wait for days.. I guess my fault really as I leave everything to the last minute. Talking cars I have 3 mots in end of January and February. My Astra Twin top 1.9 CDTI Convertible and my Mercedes CLK 320 convertible and Bertone as well end of February.P12 ENN cost me £800 exhaust £370 tyres x2 £110 and MOT £50 plus £256 for actual mot failed repairs. My next MOTS are July and August time and then October Ford Transit van 2014. My latest purchase is a Vauxhall Cascada convertible 2013 plate It was getting close to my 60th Birthday and I actually already bought myself a new car a Jaguar XJ8 V8 4.0 Sovereign 2001 but greed got in the way and as we have 7 days in a week Up until December 2023 I only had 6 vehicles. And I saw this dark blue convertible at the cheapest in the country (UK)It was far from immaculate But £1900 and I Had bought it. So far my 3 mots was I guess in budget one only passed no expense and my dearly beloved was £230 including mot yes my Astra was pickling me, but its a nice retro car with some paint required. I know a guy who has offered me crazy money for my 14 plate Transit high top van 130k with £1400 spent o repairs in 2023 offered me £3000.. I see my van advertised on 63 plate for £7500. My vans interior I was quoted £150 to valet van.. Like you said in your video you gone off cars to a point.. I feel just the same.. I felt like offering this guy who offered £3k to take all 7 cars off me for £7000. In my eyes I've nearly died through ill health keeping afloat over (Covid19) and despite my efforts my van really cost me in total nearly £17000 pounds and some might say earn £250 a day over 4 days £1000 and do that 48 times over.. yeah its good cash to be had but I wasn't that lucky. On a brighter note RUSTIVAL could they not do it when the summer is more enjoyable.. Id love to go to some car RALLIES For now I am re-charging my batteries and from Wednesday 13th March see what my future holds.. Work in progress..

It's an age thing Rick. I used to spend as much time as I could in the garage. Now I only have my old Triumph Pickup left which I love when I drive but don't drive often enough and can't be bothered with shows anymore. I retire early in 3 weeks and we are then off to the Med in the van to sit on beaches and peruse bikinis 😂😂😂 Cheers K.

Enough of crawling around repairing over and over again. Maybe it's a weather thing and when you start going to shows again (might see you Saturday) your mojo might return. Keep going Rick, I bought a super low mileage TF with the VDP money. Take it easy 👍
As I lay on the driveway doing the clutch in the pissing rain, I could see my neighbour watching TV beside a blazing fire.... I thought to myself, what the fook am I doing 😂 Cars working better than ever now and no garage ripped me off plus I know it's been done right... even if it took me 2 months from start to finish 😊👍🇮🇪
