Someone at the Academy of Music- needs to address the lack of adequate stage lighting on this amazing soloist. (there are classes for Lighting different skin tones. - Take one.) May be vocally stunning but such a shame the audience can't see her fully, to see her interpretation as well as hear it. What a gifted artist.

I can’t understand why she has not been singing more at the Met since her sensational debut in the broadcast of Aida replacing Urbana at the last minute.I finally was set to hear her live at the Met this season in Aida when Covid intervened. I hope both Covid and the Met allow me to hear her sooner rather than later. She is wonderful!

@@ssr6036 Sounds like you have no idea what opera music is. You can't feature in an opera at the Met, unless you're a professional opera singer. She started there in Aida (2016). So once again, I say that you don't know anything about opera.
When I saw that this was Latonia Moore singing this, I HAD to listen. This is like, painfully beautiful...BRAVA!!!!
Actually, I think her approach to this entire aria--low notes and all-- is wonderfully stunning. And, as long as we're basking in the liberties that the comments section affords us, then let me have my moment in the light to say that I could frankly care how much or how little you are paid for what you do; your comments demonstrate very little ear for beautiful singing (further supported by your rushing to gloat about the likes of Fleming). Brava, Latonia!

A ravishing performance -- she sounds mature & girlish at the same time, & such composure -- I've loved the Callas recording since ever.......here is someone with a totally different voice, but still able to express the emotion & sensuality of this very difficult aria

This brought me to tears.
She just performed Cio Cio San in San Diego (April 2016). I went THREE times because I simply couldn't get enough of her beautiful voice. She possesses one of the finest voices in opera today, imho. Brava, Diva!
Not only one of the finest, her heart is in the song as she brings its emotional feeling to life.

I had the pleasure to hear Latonia in Hamburg singing Amelia ,and Aida , and she was SUPERB . Her voice is very smooth and tender enpowerd by her technique .

She really is an incredible performer. The color is uniform throughout the register. She uses drama elegantly and intelligently. And she finishes the aria as the great performers of the past historically did (and as always should be done) using chest voice. Brava!

She has "Ausdruck" in her voice which is much better to this aria than Callas wth her metallic sharpness. - Greetings, Heinz

I think Latonia’s voice is lovely but it is NO Leontyne!! Leontyne is in a REALM all to herself!!

Beautiful chest notes, full of drama and emotion, the voice is so captivating. It will be fascinating to watch her climb the ladder of heroines, and if she can't do it-nobody can. Thank God, all my friends in my opera group were mourning the loss of "great sopranos". Oops-mabad!

12 years ago and so unknown. Anna Netrebko is a stunning well known artist with a stunning voice. These Netrebko nay sayers make me sick. Moore sings very beautiful. I wish we can hear more of her.
