I LOVE IT!
The problem that I have with NARS, is they never have my shade! It’s either too light, too dark, too neutral, too olive, too red or too yellow! So I don’t even try anymore...🙎🏿♀️
I love it! But I use probably half of what you put on your cheek for my whole face 😆
Looks beautiful on you! I’m oily, I haven’t used powder with it yet. By the end of the day my oils are coming through but it’s not horrible (8+ hr day)

Yess!! I’m team oily too! I love a good matte foundation.
Urban decay stay naked is good for oily skin. It’s just seems to be light to medium coverage
I feel like this version of Macao is less red, more golden and I LOVE that for me because Macao was always the shade they matched me to, but it was always a bit red.
Oh yeah. And I used to wear New Guinea but for some reason they don’t have that shade anymore so that’s why I started using Macao a while back. Good thing Macao ended up working lol!
Andrea Renee since we are shade twins, I use New Guinea but it’s in the Nars All Day Luminous foundation

Same here! In my case, I started off with Sheer Glow in Macao and it was a perfect match for me. It was also described as being for "golden undertones." I bought the Radiant Longwear last year without checking the description and found that it wasn't quite as perfect as the Sheer Glow. When I checked the description, I saw that it changed to being for olive undertones. If this Macao is recommended for golden undertones, I might get back on the Nars train.

I’ve never not loved a Nars foundation. I’ve even mixed the Radiant and Luminous before, always get compliments
I love the luminous foundation but I read that it's being discontinued 😞, excited to try the soft matte though.
I adore all NARS foundation- even their tinted moisturizer is incredible and I'm a full coverage kinda girl. I CANNOT wait to go pick this up!

This the best foundation that NARS has released. I love it so much. It wears well and the coverage is phenomenal. I could wear Macao even in their other formulas but I prefer Marquises so I got this foundation in Marquises and I still thought it was lighter than the Natural Radiant Marquises shade but when I applied it, I was so pleased with the finish and it felt like skin. I also didn't know whether or not I wanted to set it or not. It wore so beautifully! So far, this is my favorite foundation of the year! Also it looks great on you!

I usually wear marquise in sheer glow. But it seems darker. I’m tempted to try Macao. But maybe I’ll stay put. Since all of you gals are saying they run lighter

It wears beautifully on the skin and like you, I didn't feel the need to set it with powder once I was done.

This foundation is perfect! This is my first product from the brand. It make my skin looks flawless, snatched my pores, very long lasting.
I purchased this foundation the day it launched and when I tell you I love it! The BEST NARS foundation to date for me! Oily girls will love it, I promise.
I haven't tried the Nars Soft matte but the finish is so airbrushed Love it!!

The blushes too! Never really tried Nars until recently. I bought a blush and a lip liner and that was it. Nars been snatching my wallet ever since.

This reminds me of the sheer matte foundation that they discontinued a few years back. I use to love that foundation. I will give NARS a try again.

This foundation gives me old school Nars Sheer Matte vibes (do y'all remember Sheer Matte?) and I LOVE IT🥰🥰🥰🥰! I wore it yesterday to work on the oncology floor and it lasted REALLY well under my 😷
Nars broke my heart when they discontinued their Sheer Matte formula 😩😩 This looks really good though, so I may give it a try.

Definitely check out my review as I reviewed it first on TH-cam in Marquises and Macao - you might even want to consider Marquises as it’s a true golden undertone but Macao looks a tinge better on me - either shade is excellent. I love it and it looks flawless on you! ❤️sP
I almost don’t need to make a comment because you said everything I planned to say. If this had dropped before Too Faced BTW Matte, I would never have bought the Too Faced. The Too Faced isn’t heavy on the face but it’s Matte Matte, matte in a way I have not really seen in newer foundations, since before Fenty released their first foundation. When you finished your application I went on my Sephora app on my phone to see when I purchased the Too Faced because I might take it back and get the NARS Soft Matte! The finish is Superb. Whatever I do, it will include buying this foundation. I watched Jasmine review this and I wanted to see if it was the primer she used, skin prep etc.. but No, this foundation is just Beautiful! Excellent review.
I was nervous when you swatched it on your hand because it looked hella light but when it touched your face it just blended in so beautifully 😍

Haven't tried this one yet, but I'm currently using the Nars sheer glow and I've got to say, my skin looks great with it on, and my skin texture has gotten better. Whatever skincare they have in the foundation, it has really been looking after my skin. I love it.

I ADORE the soft matte concealer so I HOPE I can find a match in the foundation because that FINISH is PERFECT.

So I've always used the shade Macao in Nars foundations but I saw the shade Marquises which has more of a golden undertone. They both work really well but I think I like Marquises a little better. I ordered this foundation the day it came out and it came in the mail today and I cant wait to try it!!! It looks so good on you Andrea❤❤

I’m obsessed with the NR but I love matte foundations more so when I saw that they were coming out with this one. I need it to just as good as NR. I like that it’s radiant but matte. Skin like👌🏾

I use to love that - Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint !!!! It wore so beautifully! They discontinued that one! You think it’s the same formula ? I feel like the old one was a medium coverage and this is more full but if it is, I’m getting it ! lol
Love this foundation on yours too . I will be purchasing. The coverage looks great. I’m combination oily as well and need something to keep my oils at bay while on vacation in the hot sun.
It did look different than the other one. I guess like you said. It just has to dry down. I really do t know what color I am in Nars. They match me to New Caledonia which is too dark too me. I might try this shade

i love fenty but after their first foundation, soft matte anything makes me scream inside 😬 but i love natural radiant longwear by nars it’s my favourite foundation ever (and before that it was sheer glow) so if this is better then i will definitely be purchasing!

I wear macao in the other formulations and i could not wear this one lol. I returned it today for marquises which normally doesnt work for me but it works with this foundation. The finish is so beautiful i didnt mind getting another shade !
