I like that shinobi is stronger now, but it has been annoying getting punished after reacting to his kick, just like with BP's bash. I've been mostly using shugoki lately and if they spam the kick I can't catch them when they do the backflip if I use headbutt or zone. I just have to continuously dodge the bashes or parry the heavy for a weak punish, which isn't very fun or engaging.
Than stop dodging on reaction shinobi is punishable if you guess right. Even with a gb, unlike most bashes even tho bashes should be gb punishable if dodged on guess.
@@y0rrzu971 If I try to guard break after dodging the kick with shugoki I headbutt, or the guard break is too late and they are starting the front roll. I'm sure I have to just keep trying to find some timing that works. I'm not losing every fight against them tho, they are just annoying to fight

The shinobi mirrors were entertaining! However, it’s safe to say that Shinobi is super powerful & counters much of the For Honor cast. Maybe Kyoshin would be a good counter due to his quick undodgable finisher lights, but even with that the match up would require great reads. The hero can barely even counter itself. I wonder how/why Ubisoft thought that this was a good idea.

Shinobi has always been my favorite. And dodge attacks have always been my most hated feature. And shinobi is literally the anti dodge attack. Dodge attacking me as shinobi is tantamount to suicide. And I love every single second.

I like the new adjustments, but some things need to be changed. For example the 24 +15 damage. Confirmed bash deflect, while nuxias is 30 something that's blockable. A 40 damage confirmed deflect seems just a taaaaad bit excessive.
idk if you know 2 things but when you do a zone you can do a back flip after the first rotation and when you do a deflect you can go into sickle rain or faint it to a gb
After all this time playing highlander, seeing a Conq player suffer the way I do in the new matchup is relieving. Also, best way to beat shinobi is to beat the player. The old don’t beat the wave beat the surfer.

I mean if they just make it so he doesn't regen stamina on backflip and make it so he can't backflip off flip kick it will be perfect. But yeah I really fear a ubisoft over compensating nerf coming.

Beautiful calling the zone for the deflect comeback. Alot of people hate the new shinobi but honestly I think he just needs a stamina nerf. Maybe make his heavy speed a little slower. I'm an orochi main but my good friend has been a shinobi main for a long time and the re work makes it so he can actually play more competitively. Shinobi is really hard to fight with Orochi when it used to be the opposite.

You succesfuly dodge shinobi's attacks but he just backflips and hits you anyway, he can guarantee an attack every time he kicks you, if you get guard breaked by shinobi he literally does something like 40 damage. Nice rework Ubisoft, nice one.

Only the first 24 damage is confirmed. I think that is too high admittedly, but the extra 15 from the kick can be dodged.
