If you only knew how much your music got me through dark times man. Got my heart broken in college and you got me through it brother. Thank you. Still remember those times and it was over 20 years ago.
The drummer for this record was fucking brilliant, and made the record...you'd think his almost jazz-style freneticness would've somehow hurt the delicacy of the songs, but it made the record so powerful...this track, and "The Good Fight" in particular have the classic emo-styling on top (with great chord choices), but then in the final mix are left with such...GROOVE
@@ChaniagoAbd Yeah, he's fucking great. There's a lot going on, but he doesn't overdo it either. It's totally not the type of drumming you expect with this type of music, and I feel like not what a typical 'session drummer' would have played
Listening to this reminds me of when I was truly happy. Now I found this again in the exact moment I need to get that feeling again. It's such a nice turning moment and this song is the coincidence we all are hoping for...
4th to comment. Almost got the bronze. Wanna say I rediscovered DC after 15 years bc of this new album showing up in Spotify. The MTV unplugged concert is now my fav album in my life right now.
Wandering this house Like I've never wanted out And this is about as social as I get now. - Dashboard Confessional predicts what will gonna happen in 2020 :O
Only in the DC variant, he was talking about having complete and utter opportunity to go out--in fact, probably having INVITATIONS to do so--but instead, pacing around an empty house/apartment, still brooding over a failed relationship. That's rather different than desperately wanting to go out, and being FORCED to pace around the abandoned apartment, lol
@@skepticalstagedactor3248 Ah man, coming in with the go-to '90s "duh" catch phrase! So nostalgic. I was replying to the original poster, tho, who was comparing the lyrics to enforced pandemic social isolation. I suppose the difference remains self-evident, though
Man, I forget how this is the best song ever made!

It's at that moment when we realize sometimes that person we mistreated filled our lives with happiness.

Friends make fun of me for liking this band. They're like "no screaming or heavy metal riffs". My response: "blow me"
To each their own, but I don't like any band that only screams. I need melody...
I love Metal and Emo both 🤘🏼🎸🥁
