⁠@@CactusBranniganonly SOME show dogs are trained to do that and most of the time they just have to stand. I usually go to shows with a family member cause they have an akita that goes into shows. i’m not trying to be rude here just trying to clarify some things😊

How do you keep him so calm? My heart is literally melting, he's soooo adorable and just calm and basically sits or positions his self however you need him to do the cut. I have a Maltipoo and he freaks out so bad, he will climb up my arms and wrap around my neck and will climb down my back getting away from me....and this is with me being as gentle as possible and I even bribe him to be good with a puppy cone in hopes it will occupy him while I trim him up. You are talented at this and I have to say he's a natural...lol so cute too❤❤❤

Just imagine what would it be like having a dog in advance, so it doesn't suffer if you get it impulsively . Sometimes people are overwhelmed by cuteness, and get it just because of that, and 'forget' that it's a living creature with requirements that they might not like doing, once the cuteness factor becomes normal.
Expect it to wake you up at night, to bark at night, to piss and poop in areas you don't like until you train it well, to have to go out regularly , to have thousands $ saved money for emergency vet visits, and expect to basically be like a child that cannot take care of itself and is fully dependent on you for 10-15 years. And think if your life is secure enough that you can take care of someone for 10-15 years.
If you then still think it's worth it/you think you can provide those things, then go for it. And best to find one from a shelter.

Really cute until you cut into the undercoat so the coat is damaged and the dog could get alopecia... Very common in poms.

Exactly!! I see so many Poms with these cuts and I’m like why?!!! Yes it’s cute but it can permanently damage their coats. I have to line brush my boy every single night but he has a gorgeous full coat so it’s worth it.
