Art Restoration | Enchantment by Jean MacLane

Enchantment by Jean MacLane is the third painting we've been able to work on in partnership with Warren County Schools, Preservation Warrenton, the Warren County Arts Council and the town of Warrenton, NC. It is one of five paintings that were donated to John Graham High School in 1926 by Katherine Pendleton Arrington.
The painting itself needed to be cleaned and had a few areas that need to be patched up. The frame was in pretty good shape, only needing minor repairs and touchups. Our artist was able to bring the glow back to this piece and you can really see the way the little one's face lights up while looking at the flowers; no wonder MacLane called it, "Enchantment!"
