Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels was a match I didn't appreciate as a kid, but now I see it as one of the classics. Makes me sad when hearing stories that Eddie Guerrero vs. Shawn Michaels was meant to happen at WM 22, that would have undoubtedly burn the house down.

I clicked this video so fast when I saw it! I was 12 at the time and I got tickets for my birthday to go, I cried when I opened them. It’s the only WrestleMania I’ve been to, I feel so honoured to say I saw this show live.
And by the way my two favorite wrestlemania matches of all time 1. Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels at wrestlemania 25 2. Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 21 hands down
This was my first Wrestlemania I watched on PPV and I must say, this is what made me love wrestling growing up. I was a Ruthless Aggression Era kid and I'm proud to say it.
When you run it back. This was one of the best Wrestlemanias. Easily. The way they wrapped Kurts Olympic medal win into his storyline. Gotta applaud the entire WWE for this one. Every single matches performance felt so important. Just about every wrestler mattered and their stock went up. So many of these guys went on a wild run after this.
Yeah this Mania was my all time favorite as well. From the stage setup, to the fued stories built up by the funny Hollywood skits, the matches were top notch, Angle vs HBK the ultimate classic matchup, plus i had the video game on Xbox and the DVD set later on.
13 year old me was really excited to be there. Brings back really good memories now really excited for 2021 when they come back to LA to the new rams stadium
GREG POPAPILL II Exact because this was real game changer where John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista and Edge took WWE and was the company's leading stars in 2005
You make great videos! A really knowledgeable and articulate wrestling fan I must say. I was an Attitude era kid and missed the ruthless aggression era(regrettably so) and these videos helped catch me up. Like you said in the Wrestlemania 19 video what a time to be alive, a great era for sure! Thanks for making these videos it's fun to see how WWE keeps evolving thanks again on filling me on what I missed.
Well made video and a great point. Really one of the most pivotal manias to date for all the reasons you stated: establishing the Faces and Heels of the 5-10 yrs, bringing focus to the streak, introducing MITB as a big factor in the title picture and a dream match to boot between Angle and HBK. The following Manias may have had bigger crowds, venues, budget but this one had the most importance to transition WWE from the attitude era and establish the main guys. Well done!
This wrestlemania takes me back with all the matches that had alot buildup. My favorite being Shawn michaels vs Kurt angle build because it was so good. I liked the batista triple h build too. Overall I enjoyed this mania and that first mitb match here was insane and this mitb match hasn't been topped since
We have to appreciate Shelton for that ladder run without him we wouldn’t have one of the dopest features in SvR, always my favorite thing to do I love how when I was about to set it up the game knew what I was doing and a superstar always climbed the opposite side setting me up perfectly 🙌🏽😭
This show was when my wrestling interest was peaked. It’s shows like this where legends are made. It was also one of the rare WM that wasn’t in a stadium, which was kind of wired. However they did prove that they don’t need a giant crowd to make a spectacular WM
WrestleMania 17 may be the greatest WrestleMania ever and took place in the Attitude Era, but WrestleMania 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24, are all the greatest WrestleManias as a group in any era, the Ruthless Aggression WrestleManias were the best
@@theitfactorjameswheezer2852 3 is more epic and historically significant. it helped the industry aswell while 17 harmed the business. 17 cant touch 3.
Dr. Rudeness 3 sucks ass, 17 was a great show. “Harmed the business” what? Lol the invasion era didn’t harm shit. Those 2 matches from 3 are literally the only things remembered. WrestleMania 1-3 are garbage. 17 is a masterpiece. You’re a fucktard nostalgia smark
I think we can all agree that 2005 and the WM was the apex and epicenter of the Ruthless Agression Era. And in that one night Four stars became bigger than they would be without that night. Was in 3rd Grade so excited for this Mania with Kim Possible so the Drama coming out as well. 2005 was so amazing.
@@mbeas9612 so true man and this vid Wrestling Gifs explained it perfectly. Those 4 were the top guys and the last true larger thandie characters we had before "Workrate" became more important than storytelling.

@@mbeas9612 they most certainly did. Such an underrated Era for some reason. Those 4 were truly gems and I'm so glad that we were able to see it at the age we did. Won't find faces and heels like these 4 sadly the way things are going.
I was waiting for you to review this Zambia. This was the first one my mom ordered let me invite my friends over and watched. This Mania will always be GOAT to me. Also witnessing the rise of Cena, Edge, Orton, & Batista
The Real Talk Show Facts mine too fam. WrestleMania 21 will always be remembered for the changing of the guard where John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton, and Edge became WWE's mega leading stars and the incredible match between Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels
Marricus Beasley swear Cena, Batista, Edge, & Orton were like the last organically over superstars. Unlike today with people like How they tried to do with Roman. Cena shit was organic even though they forced him on us too much in the future. In 2005 if anybody say they didn’t like Cena and want him to be come champion they cappin champion
Marricus Beasley I feel like 03-08 was my favorite years looking back now I can see how people can say those were lackluster years but that’s round the time I really got into wrestling and still was believing in kayfabe
You are 100% right about the HBK/Angle match. To this day, this is still my favorite match I’ve ever watched. It was on an entirely different level. Amazing.
This was the first WrestleMania I bought on PPV, and I had so many friends over to watch it. It started at Royal Rumble that year, and we had a party for all 3 PPVs. Great times I'll never forget. That RKO from the chokeslam and the two count had my heart feel like it was about to stop. Undertaker was my all time favorite wrestler and didn't want to see him lose at Mania.
The night were john cena and Batista became two of the Wwe's top stars. Those were some good times. Also, edge and randy became two of the biggest heels in the Wwe.
I was born in October of 97 so I know of the attitude era and it got me into wrestling. When this happened it felt like a breath of fresh air just like the attitude era but this time it get better and that makes me so glad I grew up in the ruthless aggression era
I couldn't have said it any better. This was my first WWE PPV I got for Christmas from oversea. I had no idea what the hell I just saw but I knew that I just saw my all time favorite PPV. I was 14 years old and I will always hold WM21 a special place in my life.
this was my wrestlemania, i was born in 96 and had a bunch of wcw and wwf action figures from family members i always liked wrestling and goldberg before i can remember but when i was in elementry school i started warching smackdown because it was on basic cable, then my friends and i all figured out we all had been watchin for weeks them talked about it alll day everyday then my family ordered wrestlemani 21 and then 22! thanks for the nostalgia
Man, it's cool that you covered 4 excellent WrestleManias in a row. Just missing WMXX. I have found memories of watching this WM when it happened. I watched it in my neighbor's house and I thought that the buildup for this WM was awesome. Orton vs. Undertaker had me at the edge of my seat as I thought Randy would actually beat Taker. Great WM..
This was my first WrestleMania that I've ever watched. I didn't become a wrestling fan until 2005 but I loved this ppv so much, that I bought the dvd and kept watching it over and over. Eddie vs Rey/ Angle vs HBK is amazing! It also made Batista and John Cena into main eventers. Overall it is a solid WrestleMania
Also don't forget Edge became an main eventer while Randy Orton, who was already an main eventer gained more credibility thanks to the classic battle with Undertaker
I was there, i was 8 years old and it was amazing. I also went to the HoF the night before, as well as raw the next night, and the smack down taping that Tuesday. Such a great time.
If you really liked watching the HBK Vs. Kurt Angle match, I highly recommend watching Kurt Angle Vs. Chris Benoit for the Undisputed WWE Title in 2003. The intensity and tenacity in that match is even more and the Chain Finisher Reversals in that one was so much better.

WrestleMania 17 may be the greatest WrestleMania ever and took place in the Attitude Era, but WrestleMania 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24, are all the greatest WrestleManias as a group in any era, the Ruthless Aggression WrestleManias were the best
WM 19, 14, 3, 21, 28 >>> WM 17
@@titod.7012 you're higher than I am to include 3 in there
Dr. Rudeness lol 3 was mostly ass, it had 2 good matches
Bro not kidding I frickin love your videos
Couldn’t have said it any better myself. Great video.
Coming through with that fire content as always 🙏
Awesome vid always tune in early with this one 🤟🏾💯
I think we can all agree that 2005 and the WM was the apex and epicenter of the Ruthless Agression Era. And in that one night Four stars became bigger than they would be without that night. Was in 3rd Grade so excited for this Mania with Kim Possible so the Drama coming out as well. 2005 was so amazing.
guess 66 Facts fam. That was the night that John Cena, Batista, Randy Orton and Edge became the leaders of the Ruthless Aggression Era.
@Mario Walker904 cool. My Wife was the same and my sister was in 4th Grade. Brother law was in Pre K and barely remembers some of these things haha.
@@mbeas9612 so true man and this vid Wrestling Gifs explained it perfectly. Those 4 were the top guys and the last true larger thandie characters we had before "Workrate" became more important than storytelling.
guess 66 Facts fam he's the man. Plus these 4 became WWE's big 4 throughout the rest of the RA Era with Cena and Batista being 2 of the biggest babyfaces while Orton and Edge being 2 of the biggest heels, together they brought in newer fans and helped elevate WWE to newer heights in 2005
@@mbeas9612 they most certainly did. Such an underrated Era for some reason. Those 4 were truly gems and I'm so glad that we were able to see it at the age we did. Won't find faces and heels like these 4 sadly the way things are going.
9:30 I remember my friends and I watching together laughing at that part😅😅😅🤦♂️
Randy Orton vs Undertaker is my favorite 2005 feud it was just a fun feud and the way they ended the feud was amazing.
Acceptable that image of undertaker on top of the cage is legendary
WrestleMania 21 was one of my favorite PPV of all time.
The Real Talk Show Exactly I remember back in 2005, I wanted Cena to become WWE champion and beat JBL
Marricus Beasley I feel like 03-08 was my favorite years looking back now I can see how people can say those were lackluster years but that’s round the time I really got into wrestling and still was believing in kayfabe
The Real Talk Show Mine was 02-08. Also WWE in 2005 was doing good with Cena, Batista, Orton and Edge being the faces of the company
This was the first time I ever watched wrestling and this is my favorite Wrestlemania of all time
The best ever contract sign I have seen in my life thumps down
Powerbomb HHH on table
Still memorable
I wish we would've got HBK/Eddie at this WM.
WrestleMania 21: This PPV is the GOAT!
WrestleMania 37: This PPV is gonna Suck!
What? You know how wrestling will be in 2021?
Wrestlemania 20 Was Better Than Wrestlemania 21.
@@allencollins1617 Nah 21 was better
Josh Johnson there probably isn’t going to be one with the coronavirus shutting down all big events/gatherings
Mac Banks that’s for this year not next year
That Undisputed title design was so underrated . I still can't understand why did they brought that spinner design 😢.
Triple H deserves major credit man, this is storytelling, we need this back. Vince needs to retire or let triple h take charge.
I 100% agree
5th grade memories 😭😭😭😭 being a kid in the 2000’s was legendary. What a time to be alive 😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Imagine if Batista started wrestling earlier than 30 years old 😳
Nostalgia hits me right ;')
Looking forward to seeing the video on WMXX, the first one I've ever watched
You are 100% right about the HBK/Angle match. To this day, this is still my favorite match I’ve ever watched. It was on an entirely different level. Amazing.
The right guys won the titles. Hopefully Drew wins the title at Wrestlemania.
@Kuru. Bye
I LOVE THIS BRO I GREW UP IN THIS ERA TOO YOUR RIGHT JOHN CENA IS OUR GUY LOVE HIM!!!!
Great video bro. Great work👍🍻
This was the first WrestleMania I bought on PPV, and I had so many friends over to watch it. It started at Royal Rumble that year, and we had a party for all 3 PPVs. Great times I'll never forget.
That RKO from the chokeslam and the two count had my heart feel like it was about to stop. Undertaker was my all time favorite wrestler and didn't want to see him lose at Mania.
Your videos are so dope bro keep doing you
Amazing work Bro , WM21 was my favourite show
The night were john cena and Batista became two of the Wwe's top stars.
I strongly agree with this video. Batista, Cena, Edge and Orton, they were my 4 main stars growing up. As well as Undertaker and Triple H
I wasnt born at this time. I wish i would be borned 6 years earlier. Amazing Time without nostalgia
Straight flames 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
*Wow! No G-Unit reference??? Shocking lol*
I couldn't have said it any better. This was my first WWE PPV I got for Christmas from oversea. I had no idea what the hell I just saw but I knew that I just saw my all time favorite PPV. I was 14 years old and I will always hold WM21 a special place in my life.
first wrestlemania i ever watched and def a good way to start things off
this was my wrestlemania, i was born in 96 and had a bunch of wcw and wwf action figures from family members i always liked wrestling and goldberg before i can remember but when i was in elementry school i started warching smackdown because it was on basic cable, then my friends and i all figured out we all had been watchin for weeks them talked about it alll day everyday then my family ordered wrestlemani 21 and then 22! thanks for the nostalgia
3:27 ahhhh middle school 😥💯💯💯
All the superstars earlier might not have been technical like the WWE superstars nowadays but they were charismatic af
It was my first WrestleMania. That's why it's so important.
iMiguelAOG same same good times!!!!
That wrestlemainia was all about passing the torch to new generation
I remember begging mum and dad to let me have the day off school just so I could watch it. Was the best day ever
If you really liked watching the HBK Vs. Kurt Angle match,
I highly recommend watching Kurt Angle Vs. Chris Benoit for the Undisputed WWE Title in 2003.
The intensity and tenacity in that match is even more and the Chain Finisher Reversals in that one was so much better.
This was my first ever Wrestlemania that I remember watching. Til this day one of my favorite wrestlemanias of all time.
This is my Childhood Right here I was watching this as a 1 year old
Make A Deposit Lmfao WM 21 was a day before my 4th Birthday. I didn’t start watching Wwe until two years later though.
Lies
Ousman Sano I’m pretty sure he was being sarcastic.
No joke I was sitting down with my dad watching this live
