Great stuff mate! Keep it up 👍 The older Dennis trucks were the Elite 2s before the Elite 6 came along. My Council used to have a whole fleet of them and tbh I like them a lot more than the Elite 6, I would say Elite + too but they're lovely inside 😂

@Billy the bin truck driver Yeah that's the one, any Dennis that came out between 2003 and 2013 was an Elite 2, no worries pal 👍

@@marlorr The red bags were just some side waste pal, your not technically supposed to lift it but most of the time il throw it into the back, unless they do it all the time that is lol. The bags do squish a lot of the time,kinda depends what's In them
Nice one mate if our council do the same thing for general waste were in trouble as my general waste bin is always overflowing and they don’t take side waste on general as a 5 person family we have at lot of it I’ve got 5 recycling bins so that’s good for extra recycling but I think food packaging and packaging should be more card and paper based instead of soft plastic and plastic wrap to reduce was in landfill
I feel my council should stop everyone from having 2 green bins but I feel there a bit soft on the issue. Our rules for a 2nd green bin are if you have a family of 5 and more or have medical issues then you qualify for a 2nd bin.
@@billythebintruckdriver3952 it’s the exact same rules here the medical or if you’ve got kids of a young age I get but I think 2 green bins is a hassle instead of 2 just give the household a 360l bin here the bin size is 140l small family 2 or elderly 180l the same 240l normal size family or something else 1100l small or large. Business second 240l for medical or different circumstances it’s different with recycling and garden waste

@@billythebintruckdriver3952 yeah garden waste is 140 or 240l green or grey recycling 140l 180l or 240l blue red or black with green lid and general waste 140l 180l 240l black some residents still have original 120l black including me or 1100l silver with black lid
Brilliant video bud!! Love the elite+ cab. This happens here all the time, a wee truck gets sent out to take some work off the heavy runs. The first Dennis elite was the Elite T1 but that's a really old one, I think the one you're meaning is the elite 2 which came after the T1 and before the 6. They are really loud compared to these new elite+ don't know if I prefer the loud ones or the quieter ones tbh 😂. Great video as always and look forward to seeing more
Cheers bud. I do prefer the hydraulic lifter's that were on the old one's, I'm not so keen on the new electric lifters ,I feel the old one's lifted heavy bins easier

There actually council bags, I did wonder when I saw them how the house owner managed to get them in the first place. Their maybe a council employee. Again we shouldnt lift it in theory.Some loaders leave all side waste and others will throw it in

Thanks 👍, we were nearly full when it started to squeal but to be honest iv seen it squeal when we have been half empty. I'm not entirely sure why it sometimes does it tbh
