In this video I reveal my recommendation for Miami Beach, the Gates Hotel South Beach, a Doubletree Hotel.
Pros:
Location - Across the street from the beach. Not too close to the noisy party of South Beach
Price - Less than $200 per night after everything
Rooms - New, clean, and quiet
Property - Beautiful amenities and Decor
Cons:
$25/Night Resort Fee
Bedding was just Okay
$45/Night for Valet Parking

Public parking is just 1.5 blocks away and will save you about $20 per night.
Being that I have never been to Miami Beach myself I also travel solo. Going to MB in early June 2023. I notice that hotels seem to be very close to each other in South Beach. Just curious... I have one book now for about 580 and I see another I think The Tony hotel or the Cavalier SB which are all a bit cheaper. Would you switch up hotels to save a few bucks? I don't need all the frills etc.
I haven’t stayed at those two. The hotels on collins ave between 22nd and 1st street are where you want to be. Staying on ocean ave is very expensive and not worth it in my opinion. Make sure where you book has a lot of positive reviews. The price isn’t always a good indication of quality in Miami Beach.

@@travelmanMN that would be a good idea for an app! Just look at Google maps when looking at hotels labeled Miami Beach. You’ll see the road numbers on the map and can determine if it’s in the right spot.
