I bought a columbian 224 1/2 stationary to go with my swivel version. He was great to deal with. It’s cool to get to see his shop! He’s got a few vises I might reach out to him about lol … great video !

Great collection. I’ve yet to pick up any reed swivel jaws. Was awesome to see and handle them. Especially the very rare 415

Great video. I have a Vost 104 that's so distressed looking I had to have it. Can you tell me anything about it. There's not much info.about them on the web.

@@randyroy4074 what else does it say. The Yost 104 was produced for awhile and very likely looks like other similar vintage reed and hollands vises. At one point they were made in the same factory. There are slight differences. Yosts if that era are often a bit heavier then the hollands or reeds. Restored a yost 104 around a year ago. Nice gentleman needing one for his garage bought it

The brown vises caught my eye right at the start of the video. That color is mesmerizing

Hey, I just picked up a Reed 106 The only letters I can find are stamped in the side about a quarter inch high stamped saying 34. The strange thing is, it's only three whole fixed base. And all it says is patent pending. Any idea what the date could be on something like this?

So a patent pending reed will be pre 1912
Could be as early as 1909 but more likely 1910-1911. On the jaw tower of the dynamic there should be a date stamp (month and year) it can be hard to see if the vise is painted
