I'm just using mine to watch my chickens inside the chicken coop to see who's laying what eggs and how my broody hens are hatching out their chicks. I love the camera.
After 20 years of using Moultrie products, that all came crashing down today. I remember using those big, bulky trail cameras Moultrie first came out with when game cameras just came out. I had half a dozen of them. Used them for years! And today, I have several of their automatic feeders. Well, after having to send an Edge trail camara back, not once, but twice, I simply asked them to cancel my subscription and refund my money. They refunded my money spent on the camera but continued to charge me for the data plan. When I finally caught on, they simply said, "sorry, that is your responsibility to cancel your plan" and refused to refund that portion. So here's my thoughts: I'll own that. Im sure its in their fine print that I failed to read. But sometimes to please a customer 100%, you have to go an extra mile to do what is right, not what is policy. At the end of the day, a few bucks is not worth worrying about. But the principle of the issue is. It takes years to build customer loyalty and just minutes to lose it.
@@BackwoodsPursuit thanks for your follow-up! I was thinking it would be useful to be assured the cam is still there and functioning even if there was zero activity.
@Gene Burlette yeah, that makes sense. Sometimes you can start to wonder if everything is okay if there's no activity or pics coming over for a while. It does give you a status on the app though which is nice.
Hey there! Yes, that is correct. The data plan is on a per camera basis. It can get a bit expensive if you are running a bunch of cameras. Thanks for watching!
There are a number of plans available depending on how many images and videos you want to download per month. The plans range from $10 - $35 per month. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the suggestion. I simply forgot to go through that aspect in the video, but I'll make sure to do that on my upcoming video on the Edge Pro camera. Thanks for watching!
i have mine on high PIR, 0 sec delay, and immediate send and it hardly takes pics or it won’t send every pic? i’ll get one pic of a deer and it’ll sit there eating for 20+mins before it even takes another pic or anything. i’ve even played in front of the camera for 45mins and only got a handful of pics taken/sent.
That's not good! Maybe try setting the upload to not immediate and see if that helps? I haven't had any issues with my two so far. Thanks for watching either way!
@@BackwoodsPursuit i’ve done tried everything. i’m trying to get as many pics as possible since i have very low traffic. i have a momma and baby who spend 30+mins eating every day and only get like 2 burst of pics the entire 30mins
Hey there! Once you have the plan for the camera, you are free to download the photos/videos. There is no extra charge for downloading them. Depending on your plan, you may have some restrictions on how many downloads are available per month. Thanks for watching!
@@BackwoodsPursuit driving heavy machinery 20 feet away and not getting a single pic. I watched 12 deer in front of camera some 2 feet away for over 45 minutes and not a single pic. I watched deer in front of them dozens of times and not a single picture. Ive walked up and poured out a bag of corn in front of these cameras a lot of times 10 feet away and no picture. Sometimes they just dont take any pictures for some reason. I cant explain it. Ive had 4 going non stop since they came out. Ive set on bait piles for coyotes watch animals come and go all night and not a single picture or very few. All of these things have happened more times than i can remember.
@@BackwoodsPursuit i watched a deer feeding in front of one the other night and didnt get a single picture. Thats why i got on youtube to see if anyone was having the same problems. Thanks for sharing your experience, and that's too bad. Sorry to hear. Thanks for watching though!

Thank you !
Great info!
Can you take an "on demand" picture from your phone?
You bet! Glad it was helpful.
I don't believe you can take an on-demand picture...at least not that I'm aware of. Thanks for watching!

Is the green light that say connected does it shut off after bit my connectvlight with shut off an reconnect then all lights go off
@jackboyer1907 yeah, if I recall correctly all lights shut off after a bit, then turn back on when it takes a pick and uploads.
Data plan is per camera correct? Meaning their plans dont offer multiple cameras at one cost?
Hey there! Yes, that is correct. The data plan is on a per camera basis. It can get a bit expensive if you are running a bunch of cameras. Thanks for watching!
Does it have a place to add a signal booster
@hunterjarnigan7220 hey! I'm not sure if it does....sorry!
Also how much does this plan cost?
There are a number of plans available depending on how many images and videos you want to download per month. The plans range from $10 - $35 per month. Thanks for watching!
Good job
Thanks!
Cost of plan per camera would have been most helpful…. Seems cell camera plans are secret till you buy.
Curiously missing from video.

Is the edge and the edge nationwide the same thing?
I'm not sure on that...I know Moultrie just came out with a new Edge Pro though. Thanks for watching!

@ByArtroh man, that's crazy! You have it set on high sensitivity?
@@ByArtroh i have the same problems with all 4 of mine.
But does it send video to your phone
Hey there! Yes, it sends the video and/or pictures to the Moultrie app, which you can then download if you'd like. Thanks for watching!
How come nobody talks cost, networking, sharing?
@jeffsmith6915 thanks for the suggestion... I'll make sure to include those things next time. Thanks for watching!
Why not just use c or d batteries?
I don't know if it'll take C or D batteries. As far as I know, it's designed for AA batteries only. Thanks for watching!
Can you just download videos you want directly to your laptop or do you have to buy them or ask for them?
Hey there! Once you have the plan for the camera, you are free to download the photos/videos. There is no extra charge for downloading them. Depending on your plan, you may have some restrictions on how many downloads are available per month. Thanks for watching!
You don't need a data plan?
Hey there! Yeah, you do need to plan through Moultrie Mobile. Thanks for watching!
How much is the data plan?
Yes you do I just got two of them willnot work without data plans.
Invest in a good external rechargeable battery. No need for AA batteries.
Yeah....that's a great idea as well! They have solar panels as well that I need to try. Thanks for watching!
These things miss a lot of pictures.
Hey there! Thanks for the feedback. How have you confirmed that they miss a lot of pics? Just curious. Thanks!
