Right, an update, I used the code almost the same as you to detect substrings within a string of text I pasted into that right hand column of the inputData. Works a charm. Got my sub and like. Probably saved me hours no doubt and some hair.
Problem with this though is if any of the data has a comma "," in it. Common problem for me is a company that ends its name with ", LLC". I'm also having issues when there is no data.
I am adding a block of text in the right-hand Input Data field and when I split the text Zapier is adding \t in front of every word. Might have to strip this off. Not sure if this matters, will keep plugging away now.
Hi there. My endgame for my zap is to call an API that's it. Can I still used Zapier Code Javascript and just code an API call and no other zap action after?

Um, I don’t think so. What are you trying to do? Why would you call an api without doing anything with the data?
