I am impressed at how smooth the animation technique was for the time, even though Two Worlds had the means of a movie. Yasuji Murata was really talented... You did a great job at restoring this piece of History, congratulations! Was the original in such a promising condition when you started your project, overall? I barely see any scratch or mold stains, except during parts like the start of scene 2.
Two Worlds was in better condition than most of the anime I've "restored". Most of what I do to these is strengthening and rebuilding the lines. I also came up with some tricks for reducing the background digital artifacts and noise, but they're a bit too destructive to use all the time. I can go in and get rid of scratches and mould stains that those tricks miss, but it's a bit time consuming and I don't have a lotta time to consume these days. I'm glad you like these restorations. I'll try and get more out as time permits :)
Thanks! It has been a while. I've been okay. This year has been up and down really. Lost my grandfather late last year and I got a job at a postal sorting plant that pays okay but leaves me almost no free time. Sorry it took so long to answer. I've been away from youtube wayyyy too long due to computer stuffs breaking. And the job thing. I think I'm picking myself back up though. How have you been?
sumerias1 Hi, would you be kind enough to help me with an issue that is unfortunately pending. In Italy, at the end of the 70s and the very early 80s, a cartoon similar in style to the Chinese shadows on Japanese mythology was given to State TV (Rai Uno) at Sunday lunchtime. Stories of classical tradition and fables of a Shinto nature. I don't remember the name of this series - I was 6 at the time - nor who actually produced it. Could you help me, if you had the memory of tracking down this magnificent production. At the time I was strongly impressed by the spirit so different from the culture in which I was steeped and by the very poetic and evocative minimalist graphic choice. Hello and thanks :)
92 years old... amazing!
The facial expressions and body moves really impresses me.

3:05 I don't know if being restored improved the animation, but this photograph is from 1929, it's creepy, technically beautiful.
