It's crazy how expensive these Nova's have gotten over the last decade. These were dime a dozen cars, but, they are just slowly disappearing. Luckily, there are so many parts available for the cheap (relative to Mopar or some Fords). Awesome score, really looking forward to seeing how this thing continues to build!
Great video! I love a good SBC swap vid. I think my wife is going to surprise me with an engine, I saw her searching BBCs in our area. Fingers crossed it's a 454!

Well I have a 1965 nova that I still drive every day this car I bought it my self while I was still in high school n everyone is trying to buy from me but I am not selling my first car I bought the car for 1500 in 1965 before I went into the military

Yes sir, I like it ....yeah it's gots some rust,but aftermarket parts are available for Chevy 2 nova....my two cents ... SS badges, cowl hood ,ralley wheels , 15 inch z28 rims are actually worth a little something to right person
I see a perfect Nova that has a few scratches that will buff right out 😂 Those scotchlock wire connections is the devil’s work. Absolute garbage Really good video Keep it up 👍

I had a 70 nova 6cyl, I swapped a 350 in, i used the 6cyl turbo 350 trans, and it was great, I read they have a different gear set, it pulled great, its a nice piece, dont sell it
Who in their right mind lets such a cool car as the Nova get in this condition? If I didn’t have the money to restore it I would find someone who does BEFORE it rots. Every time I restored a car I didn’t remove one panel until I had ALL the parts needed. People pull these cars apart and then realize it ain’t cheap for resto parts!

That engine is a one piece rear seal engine. Out of a 89 -95 Chevy. I think they take an external balance flywheel? Also I think the transmission you pulled out is a 350 not a power glide. I might be wrong but u can run casting numbers to verify.
@@frankgomez1965 yeah it’s a 350 after I got it in the ground I looked at the pan and noticed it was a 350. I just figured it was a power glide bc that’s what should have been in there stock lol
