    heh, the best laid plans sometimes: yeah, I missed that my shirt collar was off kilter until after it was all filmed. And there were a couple of spots where I blew my lines (hey, it's been 9 years since I've conducted a train!) And the green screen... sigh. But I hope that you enjoy this look back at what it might have been like riding one of my trains.

      Hey sir willow I loved this can you do something like this for when you worked at Disney and bush gardens of what it was like at those parks?

    • @SirWillow
      @SirWillow  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Craig Kollai there were definitely times we would do things like this to our outfits on purpose, so it's not totally out of characer on the train to have the collar and other pieces out of kilter.

      @SirWillow  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Josh ingram I actually did a recreation of me driving Rhino Rally a handful of years back. You can see it at th-cam.com/video/e_uv8NMUlT0/w-d-xo.html
      For Disney there really isn't any way I can recreate that, as each interaction was different. There wasn't a standard or set formula for any of them, and definitely not a script. But that's also why I have so many videos telling stories about my encounters there. :-)

      @@SirWillow it was indeed amazing. Wouldn’t have any trouble with getting a Branson show after this performance. The green screen videos are always the best and stand by it. This also brought a memory of you actually doing our train. It was more than once but I don’t have the best memory lol. Really enjoyed it. Now all we need is a couple of viewers you get together and recreate the robbery 😂 thank you so much.

      I'm working with a couple of guys who used to be on the train- not just on a collab but also trying to see if we can't somehow recreate the robbery. Not sure if we can do it or not

    Thank you so much for the recreation of the train script! Although, I hate that it will be changing this year due to some things that have happened in the past year. But, it has been a lot of fun listening to the conductors on the back while riding over the years. Now that I am a rail fan and that I LOVE taking videos of the trains there, it's so easy to say that I have learned a lot about the train and that I am actually friends with a couple of the crew people there. However, I do hope that I will be able to take more videos in the coming years. Even though, I love looking back at all of the memories from the train; I still enjoy it to this day. Especially if it happens to be my favorite ride on the park.

    If I could add or change part of the script, it would be nice if the conductors talked about whatever locomotive is pulling the train that day. Maybe a brief history of it and the railroad itself.

    • @SirWillow
      @SirWillow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If we had a delay at all- and there could be a number of reasons for that- that was usually one of the first bits of information that would throw out there while waiting to be able to start moving again.

    • @SirDufferson
      @SirDufferson ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SirWillow now that you mention it I do remember that back in the day when engine 13 sometimes had to stop at the roundhouse crossing to build up more steam to get back to the depot. Gotta say this railroad has come a long way! 😊

  • @carolineslack9508
    @carolineslack9508 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So fun + interesting! I do wish you could've filmed both sides of the train so we could see what you were pointing out that was on the right side of the train. One question: why does the train seem to slow down when it is approaching the roundhouse?

    • @SirWillow
      @SirWillow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would have loved a film both sides. Trying to find a video of the whole train ride I could use was more difficult than I thought. It slows down just for the round house because it's actually weaving through the outlaw run track and there is a crossing there

  • @08bspencer
    @08bspencer ปีที่แล้ว

    Sadly now since the train had an actual derailment they took out the old Trainwreck and don't even mention Ichabod coming around the corner and jump in the tracks. I understand why they did it but it's still frustrating that they took that part out and that's not all they've changed about the conductor spiel

    • @SirWillow
      @SirWillow  ปีที่แล้ว

      I knew that was coming when I filmed this- which was after yhe incident. That was one reason I wanted to record it- to preserve that part of the script before it was forgotten.

    Have you rode Amtrak? Do they have an official chord for their engines? Texting them at 268725 was a non-answer
    said it was a button or lever, they didn't know, they'd never heen in there.
