    Hi, great explanation, thank you. What kind of spreadsheet did you use in order to create the compressor map? I noticed that when scrolling down the table, the pointer moves along the compressor map showing the position of the values. thanks

      thank you, its based on Mac Keynote and XL for Mac, and a few macro's.

    Checking my actual numbers and as far as I can see, there is a unit error in your CSV file. The Air Flow column is in KG/H (not Grams per hour)

    Hello I have a problem with the td5 engine while driving it slowly returns the engine speed when changing gears can you tell me what the problem is?

    Hi great videos, i very much enjoy them.
    Would you recommend getting a flash ECU remap? My land rover mechanic makes their own, they asked if i wanted to install it for better torque & power. What would the negatives to getting it one installed?

      Well, I would not, but then again it all depends on what you want to get out of your landrover. More power & torque is tempting, however that tends to cause more smoke and makes the longevity of the engine a bit shorter. But then again , it can't really say if it is bad or not, since I have no idea how good those folks are. Some are cowboys, others real professionals, as long as they know what they are doing and can tell you what they have changed and where the compromise lays. I would ask to show a benchmark on torque and power before I would go for it. Wat else besides the ECU remapping are they proposing to change ? (intercooler uplift, Modified MAP, EGR valve removal, MAF change, Turbo uplift or just a waste gate adjustment for >2Kg boost). Fuel cut-off limits changes etc..... I really would ask what they have remapped///// TXS

      D3Sshooter they just offered the chip and decat exhaust. While it does sound tempting I'm just worried for the longevity. Plus getting a remap would probably lead to other mods to suit the changes like you said(intercooler, boost). Thanks for the reply ! Keep up the good work.

      TXS , Decat the exhaust... so you have a petrol engine... Diesel don't have a catalyser. As they offered a Chip, that is a bit more then just rewriting a new fuel map in the Flash chips of the ECU. In fact they will need to de solder and re solder the SMD chip, something I would not do to my ECU, as an electronics engineer there are to many risks with it if not done on a professional chip bench. One might not see anything wrong initially, however there is a big risk that the other components and the chip itself get ESD that will show much later. But then again , they may ver well be pro's. Ask them for the power and torque curve, and at last ask them what high and low limits the have changed (those limits are to safeguard the engine from damage e.g Boost pressure>2.2Kg will cause the fuel to be cut-off not to damage the engine....... Good luck, and if you decide to go for it, let us know the outcome....

      Bilal Khan a tuned fuelmap for the ecu and a blanking panel for the egr valve. But note that your engine must be in good working order . Engines that are not in a good mechanical condition can not be helped much with tuning. First get the engine in a good working order

      Wait 87 ? its a 300tdi then ? if so no programing cause you ain't got an ECU get the boost pin instead
